The 190-acre park features seven stunning lakes that are filled with sport fish throughout the year, using recycled water. Every day, the Ray Stoyer Water Reclamation Facility located north of Santee Lakes recycles 2 million gallons of water, which then flows through Santee Lakes, forming a distinctive recreational space.
Santee's water recycling project prevents 2 million gallons of somewhat treated sewage from flowing into the Pacific Ocean on a daily basis. This amounts to 730 million gallons annually! Half of this water is utilized at our nearby golf course, city parks, and schools after passing through the Lakes. This has led to an increase in the amount of water available to the community without any cost to taxpayers or ratepayers, as well as lowering the amount of wastewater produced and the expenses associated with processing it. Visitors love the fantastic facilities available at Santee Lakes, such as camping, cabins for rent, fishing, boating, playgrounds, walking trails, function rooms and special events. Plus the grounds are home to over 200 different bird species.

She’s very friendly and willing to help whenever she can. We have water and electric hookups, which are great. There is no hookup for sewer, but you don’t have to leave to dump. There is a sewer pumping service that comes three times a week. We’d recommend the park to anyone!” -Shannon, Yelp Review
