Despite being a state park, RVers will love the fact that it provides 20, 30, or 50 Amp electrical hookups, meaning that you won’t have to completely ‘rough-it’!
Lorraine Park Campground
This campground is tucked inside Harold Parker State Forest, a 3,320-acre publicly owned area full of white pines, backwoods roads, horseback trails, and 18th-century farming equipment. You can go mountain biking on the forest’s single-track or fish in one of the 11 ponds interspersed throughout the area. Lorraine Park Campground also features wheelchair-accessible beaches and opportunities for picnicking, hunting, and canoeing.
Harold Parker State Forest
Out of all of the campgrounds in Medford, Massachusetts, a nature lover may want to consider staying in Harold Parker State Forest. The beautiful white pine and hemlock forest is filled with plenty of wildlife that you can see throughout the seasons. During certain times of the year, hunting and fishing are even permitted here.
F. Gilbert Hills State Forest
F. Gilbert Hills State Forest is a pine and oak Massachusetts state forest located in the towns of Foxborough and Wrentham. The forest, which is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, was named for a former State Forester and employee.

This massive state park is located south of Boston just outside of Quincy, Massachusetts. It’s about 20 miles from downtown Boston and a 30-45 minute drive. The park itself is fairly secluded, but it’s just a 5 minute drive to the closest suburban town of Hingham for groceries and dining. Hingham is also right on the water, for those who want to check out Hingham Bay or Fort Andrews. The park is also close to Massachusetts Bay.
Indian Ranch
Indian Ranch is a seasonal New England campground nestled on the shores of Lake Chaubunagungamaug in the town of Webster. Since the park features concrete pads and pull-through sites for big rigs, it’s ideal for all types of RVs. An amphitheater by the beach hosts a summer concert series, which is a popular activity with campers (seasonal campers get free admission to the live shows).
Bowdish Lake Campground
Bowdish Lake Campground is a great place to stay if you enjoy spending your camping trip in the great outdoors. You can enjoy the swimming beach, fishing opportunities and boating excursions on the lake. There are also hayrides, field races and a playground for the kids.
Pine Acres Family Camping Resort
Pine Acres Family Camping Resort is about 76.5 miles southwest of Rowley. The undeveloped land on Lake Dean was origilly purchased by the Packard Family in the late 1950s. Family-owned and -operated for over 60 years, Pine Acres is a highly rated, award-winning camping resort.

Massasoit State Park
Massasoit State Park is a public recreation area located on the southeast side of the city of Taunton, Massachusetts, with some parklands spilling into the adjacent town of Lakeville. The state park encompasses more than 1200 heavily wooded acres that include six lakes and ponds (Lake Rico, Furnace Pond, King's Pond, Middle Pond, Little Bearhole Pond, and Big Bearhole Pond) and numerous cranberry bogs.
