Few Lancaster, California, campgrounds are reserved for military personnel, but Edwards AFB offers this FamCamp in the area. It’s available to all active and retired military members as well as reservists, National Guard members, 100% DAV, and DoD members. If you get there and find that the campground is full, you’ll have the option to dry camp in the overflow section.
You can use all the base facilities while you’re camping at Edwards AFB. It has an equestrian center, swimming pools, a 30-foot rock climbing wall, a golf course, a bowling alley, and trails for hiking or biking right on the base. The commissary and base exchange are there for your shopping convenience.
