The Sumatanga Camp & Conference Center is owned by the United Methodist Church. However, you don’t have to be a member of the church or follow the religion to set up camp here. It’s located in a beautiful valley.
This beautiful camp encompasses a 55-acre lake for fishing. Paved and unpaved paths cross the large campground area. On Sundays, the church has an outdoor service featuring bluegrass music concerts. It’s a quiet area enjoyed by young and old alike. During the summer, the campground hosts various youth programs. Despite the increased population, it never feels crowded, and it is large enough to maintain privacy and seclusion in a pristine location.
