Colden Lakes Resort is located in the town of Colden and nestled among four man-made and stocked lakes. This park has some of the best amenities you will find while RV camping around Buffalo. Horse stalls and horse boarding are available to campers, and a great restaurant and lounge with outdoor waterfront seating offers live music and relaxation right on-site.
The resort has plenty of great amenities, such as an in-ground heated swimming pool with a separate kiddie pool, two picnic pavilions, arcade games, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, and a regulation softball diamond. The facilities are modern and well-kept with dumping stations and a propane refilling station.

There’s a restaurant on the grounds along with a small store that stocks every Friday. There’s a large play area for baseball or frisbees and a small playground for the children. Niagara Falls Campground & Lodging is the closest campground to Niagara Falls on the U.S. side. It offers generously sized, level, and gravel pull-through sites, clean and modern restrooms, a gift shop, a playground, and a dog walk area. Just 6 miles from the Falls and located near all of the main attractions of the area, it is one of the best campgrounds near Buffalo, New York, to park your rig and take in the sights.
Bedore Tours has an information center next to the campground’s main office where you can purchase tickets or tour packages for viewing the Falls and other area attractions. Shuttle buses will pick you up right at the campground and bring you back to the site, so you can enjoy yourself without having to worry about parking and transportation. This is the perfect way to see the area.

Leisurewood Recreational Community, also called Leisurewood Campground, is a facility that is mostly a long-term RV park near Buffalo, New York. Temporary campers need to reserve their sites for at least a week. The campground has a full-time maintenance staff, security, and a full-time certified lifeguard staff.
The park has some fantastic recreational facilities, including two heated swimming pools with wading pools attached, two stocked catch-and-release fishing areas, a sandy beach for swimming, shuffleboard and basketball courts, and a lake for leisurely boating with rowboats and paddleboats available. Weekly planned activities for adults and kids will keep everyone busy.

Sleepy Hollow Campground is located about 25 miles east of Buffalo in the little town of Akron, New York. The 104-acre property features level, grassy lots with pull-through sites, big-rig access, full hookups, a rec room, picnic areas, and more. It is within driving distance of Darien Lake Amusement Park and Letchworth State Park, which has been aptly named the “Grand Canyon of the East.”
The campground offers a full schedule of planned activities, such as live music, karaoke, Chinese auctions, Easter egg hunts, golf tournaments, horseshoe tournaments, potluck dinners, and hayrides. Pavilions are available for special events, and the campground has a lovely sandy beach for swimming and picnicking.

Niagara’s Lazy Lakes Resort sits on 80 gorgeous acres owned and operated by the Swift family. Located in Lockport, New York, it is just 15 minutes from Niagara Falls and a short drive to Buffalo. The campground has two spring-fed lakes for boating and fishing.
The campground features amenities like laundry facilities, dump stations, shuffleboard, and a general store. Planned activities take place throughout the season. The facility is centrally located to all of the major tourist destinations in the Buffalo/Niagara region. This is a membership resort that offers a free stay just for filling out the form on its website.

Skyline Camping Resort is situated on 100 acres in the rolling hills of Darien Center, New York. Sprague Brook is located about 70 miles northeast of Chautauqua, which puts it closer to the greater Buffalo area. It is a small county-run campground offering basic amenities at reasonable rats. This makes it a great spot to spend the night as you pass through.
If you’re coming with the family, you’ll love to hang out near the onsite pond or playground. This park is not too far from Buffalo and all its suburbs as well as points to the south such as Salamanca, Bath, Jamestown, Chautauqua, and Pennsylvania. In addition, there are some fun trails to hike through the area.

Sitting on a beautiful swath of arc-shaped beachfront on Lake Erie, this park offers campers a relaxing experience where they can go for a swim, sunbathe, or just sit by the fire. You’ll get all this at some of the best camping rates in the area. Furthermore, Evangola State Park is conveniently located near Dunkirk and Fredonia.
This public park has well-maintained and modern facilities that garner excellent reviews. If you’re bringing the little ones, there are a couple of playgrounds for the kids to play on. The sites are gravel and electric only, but there is a waste dumping station and water available. Sites are large and shaded from the sun.

This state-run campsite is located right on Lake Erie. As a quiet and spacious campground, this park offers large sites with level grounds and plenty of shade. The view from the bluffs is amazing, and this park is recognized as a great spot to watch migratory birds throughout the year.
This Brocton-area campground is a great choice if you can’t book a spot at one of the Chautauqua campsites. It’s also perfect if you are looking for a campground with a rustic feel. There are limited amenities here, but the ones that the owners do have are well-maintained and modern. Some campsites offer electric, and there is a dumping station.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts – Four Winds is a 153-acre campground near Letchworth State Park and the Finger Lakes Trail. There are themed events every weekend, like Movie Weekend and Fiesta Night. The camping season runs from late April to early October.
The East Koy Creek runs along the campground, so you can do some fishing. If you have kids, they’ll love the Fun Zone, which has several water slides. They can also enjoy activities like basketball, arts and crafts, swimming, and horseshoes.

There are several small towns you can visit for supplies, and Rochester’s urban attractions are less than 30 minutes away. You can also check out nearby parks, like Letchworth State Park, for a hiking trip or head west 50 miles to see Niagara Falls.
