ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

You can view boats, RVs, and motorhomes during the event. You'll find activities and games for kids, including clown shows, and there are hunting and fishing displays. Workshops for fishing and other outdoor activities, including tent and RV camping, are available during this event. Guests can get expert advice about RV camping and buying recreational vehicles and accessories. Many travel agencies and hotel managers are available to discuss travel packages for popular destinations. Attendees can buy new RVs, campers, and travel trailers during the RV show.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

The Fargodome offers public restrooms and concession stands for food, snacks, and various beverages. There are merchandise booths, vendor booths for travel destinations, and a full inventory of boats and RVs.

Fargodome 1800 North University Drive Fargo, North Dakota 58102

The largest venue of its kind between Minneapolis and Seattle, Fargodome is an indoor athletic stadium and convention center located on the campus of North Dakota State University. The event is held inside, and all access roads are paved.

RVING AT THE EVENT

You can RV camp at Red River Valley Sportsmen's Boat, Camping & Vacation Show. The campground offers electric hookups and water throughout the event. However, if you'd rather camp elsewhere, you can find many RV campgrounds, resorts, and parks offering RV camping and terrific amenities.

If you don't own an RV, you can find some terrific RV rentals on RVshare. 

These are some RV campgrounds we recommend:

Sheyenne Oaks Park and Campground, 46 miles southwest of the Fargodome, offers electric hookups for RVs and non-electric sites for primitive camping. The property also features private RV lots and corrals for horses. The park has access to the Sheyenne River and many fun water-related activities, too.

Governors' RV Park and Campground, 25 miles to the west, offers full hookup RV sites with electric, sewage, and water connections. The pet-friendly property has laundry facilities, restrooms, shower suites, and Wi-Fi. 

Pelican Hills RV Park, 50 miles to the southeast, has full hookups for RVs, including water, electric, and sewage. The park's amenities include a heated pool, a kiddie pool, an on-site convenience store, showers, bathrooms, a laundry facility, and a kitchen.

Here are some tips for RVers attending the show:

• Check your RV's insulation and ensure it isn't damaged, and add insulation to windows, vents, and doors because the Fargo temperatures are often below freezing.

• Fully stock your RV with necessities, including food, your favorite beverages, and a first aid kit. Bring extra towels, blankets, and linens.

• Review the rules and regulations for RV camping at the venue. Follow all rules as posted, and don't bring any prohibited items to the campground.

• Purchase firewood in bundles to ensure you have an ample supply, and extinguish campfires according to the campground's rules and regulations.

• Review Fargo city ordinances that relate to RVs, and pay attention to parking signs throughout the city.

WHERE TO STAY

While attending the Red River Valley Sportsmen's Boat, Camping & Vacation Show, you need a cozy place to unwind and relax. If you want an alternative to RV camping or just want to take a night off, Fargo has hotels with superb accommodations and amenities.

• Holiday Inn Fargo offers double queen or king rooms with seating areas, desks, entertainment centers, and comfortable beds. The hotel's amenities include airport shuttle services, a fitness center, on-site parking, a pool, daily housekeeping, and an on-site restaurant.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Hector International Airport: Head south on Dakota Drive toward Old Highway 81/Old U.S. Highway 81 North. Turn left on 19th Avenue. Turn right onto North University Drive. Turn right to arrive at Fargodome.

From West Fargo Municipal Airport: Head north toward 19th Avenue Northwest. Turn right onto 19th Avenue Northwest. Turn right onto North University Drive. Then turn right to arrive at Fargodome.

From Moorhead, MN: Take Main Avenue and 2nd Street North Avenue in Fargo. Turn left onto 11th Avenue. Turn right onto 10th Street North. Continue on 17th Avenue North to Fargodome.

PARKING

All parking at Fargodome is free.

TICKETS & PRICING

General admission is $12 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under. You can pay admission costs at the Fargodome box office.
