The 2023 Made in America festival was cancelled for severe circumstances. The 2024 dates have yet to be confirmed but usually are on Labor Day weekend each year.
The Made in America Festival is a two-day music and social event that's curated by music mogul Jay-Z. This festival brings together some of the hottest and youngest names in hip-hop, R&B, rock, pop, and electronic music. While formerly also held in Los Angeles, the Made in America Festival is now exclusive to Philadelphia. It's held on Labor Day weekend each year.
You can expect to experience some of the hottest entertainment in music today when you attend the Made in America Festival. There's also the Cause Village, which represents the festival's philanthropic efforts. You'll be able to choose from a wide selection of standard yet delicious festival and fair food choices provided by numerous vendors and food trucks. For drinks, there will be a cocktail booth and beer garden.
Cause Village: This effort will bring together over 56 different charitable organizations and nonprofits that are dedicated to fighting for social justice, promoting education, advancing voter registration, defending animal rights, and raising the levels of financial literacy. Each organization will have its own booth that will cater to the questions and interests of festivalgoers.
PUMA Hoops Customization Lab: This lab is the result of the efforts of the collaboration between PUMA Hoops and Uniq, a local Philly retailer. Festival attendees who donate more than $19 will be given a personalized PUMA Hoops jersey. Additionally, each festivalgoer who receives a jersey will also receive a free 60-day subscription to TIDAL.
Snipes Store and Booth: Snipes is the official partner of the Made in America Festival and the exclusive retailer and distributor of Made in America Festival merchandise, including hats, clothing, and other accessories.
This year, the Made in America Festival will be held from Saturday, September 2 to Sunday, September 3. The event is held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, a scenic boulevard that runs northwest from Love Park in Center City to the Art Museum.

The Made in America Festival is not a camping event, nor does it specifically cater to RVs. That being said, showing up to the festival in an RV definitely has its strong points. For one, you can have the benefits and amenities of home close by if you've got an RV. This will let you sneak away to chill out when you need a break from the action. Remember, a lot will be going on at the Made in America Festival, and the days are long. Therefore, a little break might be in order at some point during the festivities. Also, with an RV, you've got access to food and a restroom without having to stand in long lines.
If that all sounds great to you but you don't have an RV, browse the rental options at RVshare. Renting is both easy and inexpensive with RVshare.
There's no camping at the festival. However, there are plenty of opportunities for camping outside of the city. For example, there are two different KOA campgrounds in Greater Philly. One, the Philadelphia / West Chester KOA Holiday, is located about 43 miles west of the city in Coatesville, PA. The other, the Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA, is only 19 miles south of the city in Clarksboro, NJ.
As far as hotels are concerned, there is no shortage of them near the event. Most are located just south of the Parkway and represent a wide range of pricing. Keep in mind that prices will most likely rise during that weekend due to the event and Labor Day. Choosing a hotel will allow you to park your RV for free in the hotel parking lot. Also, since the hotels are close to the festival, you can easily pop back to your rig for a quick break.
Getting to the event is not difficult at all. It is located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and easily accessed by way of I-676, the Vine Street Expressway, which intersects the southern part of the Parkway. To get to I-676, you can take I-76, the Schuylkill Expressway. You can also get to the Parkway by way of public transportation, which is provided by SEPTA and includes buses and subways.
There is no specially designated parking lot for vehicles attending the festival. However, there's plenty of street parking. Keep in mind that a lot of street parking in Philadelphia is metered with time limits ranging between one and four hours. Garages and lots also offer parking and may be more convenient for the festival.
