RV Rentals at Hangout Fest
Hangout Fest (a.k.a The Hangout Music Festival) is an annual three-day event held at the public beaches of Gulf Shores in Alabama. It’s located in the same vicinity as its sister restaurant, The Hangout. It’s the first major music festival held on the beach in the city and features many genres of music, including rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic dance music. Just some of the famous musical acts to play here in the past include The Killers, Stevie Wonder, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Red hot Chilli Peppers, and more. The 2023 event will mark the 12th birthday of the event.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
If you’re visiting this year’s Hangout Fest, you can be assured that there are plenty of on-site amenities for your comfort and convenience. These include bathrooms, ATMS, lockers, an info booth, phone charging outlets, medical tents, restaurants, shuttle buses, and free water filling stations.

WHERE TO STAY
RV Camping
What could be better than walking back to your RV at the end of a fun-filled day? Even if your RV park isn’t within a comfortable walking distance to the festival grounds, you can hop on a shuttle that will take you closer. Whether you own your RV or use anRV rental, RVing will allow you to stay near the festival at a much cheaper rate than the local hotels or condos are offering.
Hotels
Since the festival doesn’t offer any form of on-site camping, a hotel may be your next best thing if you don’t plan on staying in an RV nearby. Condos
Renting a condo with your friends seems to be another popular option when attending Hangout Fest, particularly because they’re a more cost-friendly alternative to hotels. Because there are more rooms in a condo, you can have multiple friends staying on-site and split the costs.

HOW TO GET THERE
Via Plane
The Pensacola International Airport is just 45 minutes from Gulf Shores and the Festival. The airport offers direct non-stop service to and from Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Washington, DC.
Via Car
The two main routes to get to Gulf Shores from the north are Hwy 59 South and the Baldwin Beach Express from I-10. Though Hwy 59 goes straight into Gulf Shores, The Beach Express can save about 20 minutes because there are fewer traffic lights. This route will cost you an additional toll at the bridge, however.
PARKING
The Hangout Festival offers a large parking lot north of town on Highway 29 that is accessible via their Beach Club/North line shuttle. Parking at and near the event is limited, however, but some residents within the vicinity may rent out their front lawns for a modest fee each day.
