For four raucous days, Electric Forest transforms the Michigan countryside into a wonderland of art, music, and more! Click here to request tickets.
Festival-goers will enjoy live performances by the hottest musicians -- who represent a vast swath of genres, but with the electronic focus suggested by the event’s name. Electric Forest is as much about the atmosphere as the entertainment, referring to its visitors as the “Forest Family.” Tucked into the otherwise small town of Rothbury, this festival is a short drive away from a variety of midwestern metropoles, from Chicago to Detroit. The organizers also set up shuttle services to facilitate arrivals from further afield, including an option from New York City. But even if you’re coming from further afield, this midwestern music festival is an amazing addition to your summer travel plans.
Electric Forest offers a wide range of on-site amenities in its campgrounds, including port-a-potties, showers, ice, food vendors, craft vendors, and more. While you should prepare your camping setup as if you were heading out into the woods, you certainly won’t go hungry or thirsty.
The entrance to the Electric Forest camping grounds can be found at the following address:
7100 South Water Road
Rothbury, Michigan 49437

RV campers are welcome in the general admission campgrounds, the Good Life Village, and the Back 40. Electric Forest defines an RV as “any vehicle larger in length, width, or height than a normal 12 -passenger van.”
In order to park your RV at the event, you must purchase an RV add-on in addition to your wristband, which serves as your entry ticket. Some sites with 30 amps of electric power are available for an additional charge.
An RV is an excellent way to secure some much-needed privacy when hearty Electric Forest celebrations have you aching for some me time. You’ll be able to combine the full-on festival experience with the comfort and security of knowing you have your own dedicated space when you need a break. If you don’t already have a travel trailer or motorhome of your own, consider finding an RV rental on RVshare. These by-owner renter vehicles have all the comforts of home -- and they’ll save you a pretty penny on your overall rental fees, too. You can find a rig for rent in your area and drive to the event, or fly in and rent an RV in the area. The choice is yours!
Electric Forest offers visitors a number of different on-site campgrounds to choose from, all with their own specific amenities and features. The majority of festival-goers stay in the general admission campgrounds, which are open to both tent campers and RVers. There are also VIP areas, known as Good Life Village and Sherwood Court, as well as an exclusive enclave experience called the Back 40 and Frontier VIP Suites, which offer the comfort of a hotel room with the Electric Forest Experience.
The General Admission Campgrounds are the lowest-priced accommodations, and have all the basic amenities you need to enjoy a traditional festival experience.
Good Life Village is open to VIP campers in either tents or RVs, and also offers pre-arranged accommodation options like bungalows and tiny homes.
Sherwood Court is a tent-only VIP campground.
The Back 40 offers a luxury experience to tent campers, RVers, and those taking advantage of on-site lodging. Posh extras include brunches, happy hours, and more.
Frontier Suite Lodging allows visitors to stay in a well-appointed hotel onsite.
