RV Rentals at Hangtown Motocross Classic

ON-SITE AMENITIES

There are quite a few amenities for racegoers! The grounds have open-air festival seating, with a covered handicapped viewing area and covered Super Ticket Seating and VIP Viewing Areas. There are shaded picnic areas, and nearly 100% track viewing from a number of vantage points. There’s an interactive Sponsor Village, concessions, permanent restrooms (with flush toilets!), a children’s play area, free motorcycle parking with a gear check, and the event is simulcast on FM radio. On June 1, top motocross riders will head to Northern California for the Hangtown Motocross Classic. The race actually gets its name from California’s Gold Rush days - the first race was in 1969 in Placerville, which was nicknamed “Hangtown” in the 1800s. When the race outgrew the small town in the Sierras, it headed down the mountain to Rancho Cordova near Sacramento.

RVING AT THE EVENT

RV camping is a great way to experience a motocross event! There is dry RV camping available for the Hangtown Classic, and it’s a wonderfully convenient way to attend races. You can watch racing during the day, and head back to your RV at any point to grab a snack or take a nap or just have a break for a bit. You can choose between Fan Camping and Preferred Camping, which is closer to the track. Find out more information about camping at the Classic here. 

You can also camp nearby:

• Mark J RV Park - has full hookups, WiFi, a clubhouse with kitchen, laundry, 30 and 50-amp service, and allows small pets. There is an RV repair shop across the street. 

• Sherwood Harbor Marina & RV Park - offers full hookups or just water and electricity, water access to gas & diesel, laundry, a pump out station, and a convenience store. 

• Sacramento Shade RV Park - has full hookups with up to 50-amp service, free WiFi, laundry, a pool, showers, and is pet-friendly. 

• Loomis RV Park - provides 30 to 50-amp service, pull-through sites, laundry, and showers. It also has a pool and a playground and is pet-friendly. 

WHERE TO STAY

RV Camping

Whether you own a motorhome or use a rental from RVshare, RV camping is a great way to travel for a Supercross event! You’ll be able to spend all day at the races, then head back to your own quiet retreat, with food and other comforts of home. 

Hotels

If you decide not to camp, there are plenty of hotels in the area as well. You can find suggestions for some hotels here. You may also find good deals on travel sites like Expedia or Travelocity.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Highway 50: Exit Prairie City Rd. and head south. Turn right (west) onto White Rock Road and head to the Main Gate on the left. 

From Highway 16: Exit White Rock Rd. and head northeast. Follow the road until you come to the entrance on the right, Gate A.

From I-5: Take I-5 S toward Sacramento/Yuba City, then take the US-50E exit toward CA-99/Fresno. Take the I-80 BR E exit on the left. Merge onto US-50 E. Follow this to Prairie City Rd exit. Head to White Rock Road and turn right (west).

PARKING

Spectator parking is $TBA. Motorcycle parking is free.

Tickets can be purchased online here. Adult general admission tickets are $TBA, while tickets for kids 6-11 are $TBA.
