The last Fanshield 500 NASCAR speed Fest weekend held was in 2020. There are no current dates.
The FanShield 500 NASCAR Speed Fest Weekend is three days of racing at its finest. It's part of the NASCAR Cup Series, featuring three races with one occurring each day. Additionally, there's plenty of food as well as a wealth of entertaining events to keep you busy before, during and after the highlighted races.
The FanShield 500 NASCAR Speed Fest Weekend will be full of races starting with the General Tire 150 on Friday, followed by the LS Tractor 200 on Saturday and culminating with the FanShield 500 on Sunday. However, there's a lot more to the weekend than just racing.
• General Tire 150
General Tire is the sponsor of the first race of the weekend, which is part of the Arca Menards Series. It is the first year that the popular series has been held at the Phoenix Raceway and is the first race of a 10-race competition. The flag will drop at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. However, before that, fans will get to watch some of the best racers in NASCAR do some practice laps around the track. There's also an interactive garage experience you can experience with your smartphone.
• LS Tractor 200
Enjoy this NASCAR Xfinity Series race sponsored by LS Tractor. The 200-lap race is part of NASCAR's minor league and the place to be for racers looking to prove themselves before moving up to NASCAR's premier circuit. The flag drops at 2:00 p.m., but before it does, you'll have lots of activities to engage in, including getting your photo taken at the Gatorade Victory Lane, hanging out in the Esports Gamer Garage and checking out the NASCAR Heat 4 Fastest Lap Tournament.
• FanShield 500
This 312-lap race is a 500-kilometer event starting at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. It is the highlight of the weekend and is a fully fledged NASCAR stock car race. Before the race kicks off, you'll get to experience a Q&A with Joey Logano and Chase Elliott behind the Gatorade Victory Lane. There's also a pre-race party put on by O'Reilly Auto Parts.
• Roll-Bar
Roll-Bar is a refuge where you can go for a short break from the action on the track. There, you'll be able to indulge in all manner of food and drink options, many of which are complimentary, including beer, wine, and Coca-Cola soft drinks. Also, there are lots of interactive games, flat-screen TVs and DJs providing a lively soundtrack.
• The INfield
At the INfield, you're smack-dab in the middle of some great NASCAR action and close to your racing idols. You'll get to watch the crews of your favorite racers work on their cars in real time with nothing separating you from them. Quick access to the INfield is provided by a brand-new pedestrian tunnel.
The 2023 FanShield 500 NASCAR Speed Fest Weekend will be held- TBA
RVing is a great way to enjoy all that the FanShield 500 Speed Fest Weekend has to offer. With an RV at the event, you'll have all of the comforts of home a short distance away, which is convenient if you feel like a little hiatus from the extremely lively weekend.
There are lots of RV camping spots available, but they sell out quickly, especially as the event approaches. Each RV reservation comes with a spot for your RV as well as one for a car or your towing vehicle. Some of the RV spots are in an area specially designated for family camping, meaning you can bring the kids without worrying about adult fans partying next door.
Need an RV for the FanShield 500 festivities? You can pick one up for the weekend at RVshare. The site's list of RVs for rent is extensive and nationwide. Just head over to the RV rental page to find something that will suit your needs.
RV spots for the weekend sell out quickly and are for those who want a lot of action. If you're bringing an RV but you want quiet evenings or you missed out on available RV sites, then you've got a few RV camping options nearby. One is Estrella Mountain Regional Park, which can accommodate 45-foot RVs and has water and electrical hookups. There's also Destiny RV Resort, which is a full-service RV park with activities and plenty of first-class amenities.
If hotels are more your thing, you've also got plenty of them near the Raceway. One of the closest is the Rockin' M Bar Ranch B and B, which is located about 10 minutes from the Phoenix Raceway. If you have an RV and won't be camping on-site, you'll be pleased to know that general parking is free at the Phoenix Raceway if you have a ticket to the event. The lots are huge and can accommodate thousands of cars, which means you may have to do some walking if you don't get there early. There are also premium parking passes available that get you closer to the gates.
Tickets to the events can be purchased on the Phoenix Raceway website. You have the option of buying tickets for each of the days of the weekend. Apart from the Arca Menards Series race on Friday, which only has general admission tickets, the races on Saturday and Sunday have tickets with varying prices.
