The NASCAR Cup Series is an exciting series of NASCAR races held during the course of the year. The participants are awarded points during the season, and these points determine their placement in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, held at the end of the season. The Coca-Cola 600 takes place midseason at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, and it is considered one of the more thrilling and fan-centric races on the circuit. The first race took place in 1960 at the newly constructed Charlotte Motor Speedway, and this 600-mile race has been pumping up expectations for the upcoming championship races ever since.

The Coca-Cola 600 is the longest NASCAR Cup series race and runs on the same day as the Indy 500 but at a later time, with many drivers actually taking part in both races on the same day. As of 2017, the race is divided into four uniform stages and is now the only race on the NASCAR Cup Series to have four stages instead of the traditional three. Charlotte is the true heart of NASCAR, and fans will not only enjoy race day at the track, but they will also have an enjoyable time visiting all the NASCAR shops and stops around the city.
