RVING AT THE EVENT

Taking a rental RV to Truckeroo can easily enhance the fun you have while out at the event. Given Truckeroo's nature as a one-day food truck event, you can't camp out at the venue itself. However, you have a ton of great camping options while you're in the area.

• Greenbelt Park

Greenbelt Park is an RV-accessible campground operated by the National Park Service. Though it's located in Maryland, it's only a short drive from Truckeroo and well worth the commute. Nestled within tons of greenery, this park is a gorgeous place to stay while you're visiting the area. Though it lacks certain features like electrical hookups, it does offer amenities like showers, Wi-Fi and recreational hiking trails and other activities to enjoy while you're staying there.

• Cherry Hill Park

Cherry Hill Park is a resort-style RV park with tons of amenities and gorgeous natural scenery. Enjoy the pool, Wi-Fi, barbecue, laundry, showers and much more as you take in the forested areas surrounding the grounds.

• Lake Fairfax Park

Located on Virginia's Lake Fairfax, Lake Fairfax Park is another beautiful RV campground located just outside of D.C. With activities like swimming, fishing, boat rentals, a water park, a skate park and more, plus all the usual RV park accommodations you love, it's definitely worth a look in its own right even when you're not staying there to head off to another event.

WHERE TO STAY

If you're traveling in an RV, the question of where to stay is easy. If you aren't in the position to camp at one of the spots discussed earlier, though, there are several other places you could potentially stay in D.C. If you're looking for somewhere to bed down while attending Truckeroo, you could try a hotel or an inn.

• Hotels

Hotels are some of the easiest options for lodging when you're in D.C. Hyatt, Hilton, Riggs and more all have locations in the city, letting you stay in style for however long you'll be there. There are also a number of cheaper options you can find if you're looking to save money on your vacation.

• Bed-and-breakfast inns

D.C. has a number of smaller bed-and-breakfast places you can stay at. For a more personalized experience, this is the way to go.

• Home rentals

Renting out a room in someone's house is an affordable way to stay in D.C. Whether it's just the room or the whole home, these sorts of services make it easy to stay just about anywhere.

HOW TO GET THERE

Getting to Truckeroo is easy given The Bullpen's accessible location.

If you're coming in from the west, the best route has you come in from M Street SW. From the East, try M Street SE and turn off on Half Street when you get there.

From the north or south, you'll want to get on S Capitol Street SW or SE, respectively, and then turn onto M Street SW like before.

PARKING

While there isn't any parking immediately outside of The Bullpen, D.C. has many paid or free parking options that you can use while attending Truckeroo. While the chance of snagging a spot along the curb somewhere close is an unlikely scenario, you could also try nearby garages.

• 1100 4th Street SW

The 4th Street parking option is about an eight-minute walk from The Bullpen and costs $14 if you plan to stay for an hour or less. Otherwise, you'll pay $15 per hour. It does offer all-day parking at a rate of $25.

• 309 L St SE Washington

Parking at 309 SE is free; the only price you'll pay is the 12-minute walk to the venue. Parking is only good for two hours, however.

• 250 E St SW

Parking at the 250 SW location costs $TBA if you get there early and is a nine-minute walk from Truckeroo.

TICKETS & PRICING

There are no tickets needed to attend Truckeroo. The Bullpen always has free admission to all its events. Instead, the costs you'll need to account for will be the price of the various food and drinks you buy from the trucks stationed there. Given that trucks can change from year to year or even month to month, it's hard to nail down exact prices. However, you can generally assume a meal will cost about $TBA as is normal for a food truck.
