Wine Tastings

Event attendees come from near and far to sample Finger Lakes wines and chat with the winemakers. Over 90 wineries offer samples of their vintages at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival.

Wine Seminars

Led by speakers from Women for WineSense, the wine seminars are in-depth talks about various varieties, including Riesling, Rose, and much more. The enhanced seminars include small plates of paired food to improve the tasting experience. Enhanced seminars are available for purchase by those who have a Finger Lakes Wine Festival day or weekend ticket. Free seminars are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Cooking Classes

Attendees can participate in free cooking classes from some of the region's best chefs. From proper steak techniques to pickles and sous-vide cooking for fish, there's something for everyone.

Live Music

Nothing sets the mood quite as well as great music, and there's no shortage of that at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival. Enjoy your wine and the beautiful scenery with great music in the background.

RVING AT THE EVENT

After a day of enjoying wine and other activities, you'll want to put your feet up and relax, so RVing right on-site at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival is a great idea. There are two options for camping sites, each offering its own benefits. Campgrounds open Friday of the event weekend at 9 a.m. and close Monday morning at 9 a.m. after the event.

• Pit Road at The Glen is located adjacent to the Watkin Glen racetrack's start and finish line, offering proximity as well as privacy away from the festival area. This site provides 50-amp electric hookups. Your reservation will cover a 20-by-40-foot paved site with two motorized vehicle passes included.

• General Camping is located a short walk from the festival. Water and restroom facilities are available. You can reserve a 20-by-40-foot grass site and receive a pass for two motorized vehicles.

You will also find offsite RV camping in the area. Here are two nearby options:

• Watkins Glen State Park is the best-known state park in the Finger Lakes region. It is located near the southern tip of Lake Seneca, which cascades past cliffs 200 feet high and forms 19 waterfalls along the way. You'll find 30/50-amp hookups, hot showers, a pool, and a general store.

• For something a little quieter, MorningStar RV Park is near Corning, NY, less than 15 miles from Watkins Glen, and has spacious grassy lots with 20-, 30-, and 50-amp full hookups, picnic tables, and a trout stream.

WHERE TO STAY

The Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York is a popular vacation destination. While it is a rural area, there are plenty of hotel and resort options if you choose not to stay in the RV park your entire visit.

HOW TO GET THERE

The Finger Lakes Wine Festival takes place at Watkins Glen International. From the south, you can take I-86 North to Rte. 14. Follow that to Johnson Hollow Road. Then, turn left onto State Rte. 414 to Bronson Hill Road. Follow the signs to Watkins Glen International. From the north, take I-80 down to I-86 and follow the previous directions.
