The St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Faire is one of Arizona’s top celebrations of Irish heritage. Families from all over the state come to Phoenix to take advantage of the fun. Besides the parade, there is plenty of music, dancing, kids’ games, and tasty food to please everyone. Whether you enjoy Irish culture or just want to welcome spring in style, this celebration should top your list of things to do.
Make sure you have comfortable shoes because you'll be doing a bit of walking. The parade features local bands, floats, and groups. Irish bands will perform at five stages. The parade route runs from Saint Mary's Catholic High School at 2525 N 3rd St to the Arizona School for the Arts. The Faire is at Margaret T. Hance Park at 67 W Culver St.

There are no special accommodations for RVs at the event, but early spring in Phoenix is a perfect time for outdoor fun before and after the event, so you can find accommodations easily. Since the St. Patrick's Day Parade & Faire is in the middle of Phoenix, many other RV spots are in different areas besides the site of the Faire or along the parade route. When your goals include recreational activities, one of the parks just outside Phoenix may be right for you. Usery Mountains Regional Park is 33 miles east of Phoenix and has a beautiful desert mountain setting. This park has spaces that can take RVs up to 45 feet long, making it a favorite with big rig drivers. There is an on-site dump station, and each site has electrical and water hookups. The cacti-filled landscape is perfect for hiking and horseback riding when you're not at the Faire. Lost Dutchman State Park is perfect for photo opportunities featuring the red bluffs rising over the desert. There are 134 campsites, with several suitable for RVs with electric and water hookups. You have great chances of getting a reservation for the right site. If you need more choices, there are several other quality RV parks. Some of these include the Golden Sun Resort, Mesa/Apache Junction KOA Journey and Monte Vista RV Resort Insightful Tips: Although spring temperatures in Phoenix won't reach the highs that are experienced during the summer, it is essential for Faire-goers to stay hydrated. It is especially important for you to have sufficient water if you're parking your RV in a more remote area during your trip. When you're attending the parade and Faire, or doing outdoor activities like hiking, it is a good idea to keep electrolyte drinks at hand. Visitors to this area enjoy taking impressive sunrise and sunset photos or videos. This can be a great way of documenting the beginning and end of each day. However, for the best views, it is better to be somewhat outside the city so your views are not hindered by nearby buildings. With the growth in the Phoenix area, wildlife like deer, coyotes, and javelina are being sighted more frequently. These animals can create great photo opportunities but should never be fed or approached. Children should also leave wildlife alone to avoid injury or illness. Always be sure to dispose of food containers in the trash.
You'll find the closest hotels to the Faire south of Interstate 10. Travelers coming from either the east or west will find the Faire by arriving by Interstate 10. Shuttles are available from parking areas to the parade route.
Republic Parking, 301-399 W Culver St Parking and 67 W Culver St Parking are nearby. Advance ticket buyers get free parking and shuttle service at the 1850 North Central Avenue garage. If parking an RV instead of a car, you can find large, free spaces at The Marketplace at Central and the Dunlap Avenue and Central Avenue light rail stations.
General admission is $15. For seniors and military, the price is $12. Children 12 and under get in for free. Purchase your tickets online.
