The New Jersey State Fair takes place at the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show every year. The entertainment at the fair is diverse and ranges from rides to pig races. The main purpose of the fair is to highlight New Jersey's agriculture while supporting charities and other not-for-profit organizations. The organizers of the fair are proud that it's a family-friendly week as well.

The 2025 list of fair attractions has not yet been posted.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

According to the map of the fair, there are five automated teller machines, a security tent, first-aid stations, information booths, a farmer's market and restrooms in addition to the exhibits and other fair attractions.

LOCATION

The New Jersey State Fair takes place at the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show, the address of which is 37 Plains Road, Augusta, New Jersey, 07822. The area is bucolic, and there aren't many places to shop. You'll likely have to stock up on food and other essentials before your arrival.

LINEUP

The lineup for 2025 isn't posted yet. Keep an eye on the website for updates as they happen.

RVING AT THE EVENT

The only RV accommodations at the event are for vendors who will live in their RVs for the duration of the show. So if you plan to attend the event as a vendor, then the terms and conditions of renting a campsite will be in your vendor contract. All other RVers must camp at one of the nearby locations. Windy Acres RV Park is just 7 miles down the road from the fairgrounds. The campsites have electrical and water hookups but no sewer. The on-site lake is great for fishing and boating, and the campground offers RV storage service if you own your RV and want to leave it there in the off-season. The campground also provides Wi-Fi service. Only 5.5 miles from the fairgrounds, Kymer's Camping Resort offers three different types of RV sites. The standard spaces come with electricity and water. The 30- and 50-amp sites have electricity, water and sewer services. Some of the amenities you can enjoy here include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a hot tub, a splash pad, sports courts and a stocked lake. Remember, you can rent an RV through RVshare rather than buying one. Renting an RV is an excellent way to experience all the joys of life on the road without a long-term commitment. When you return your RV, there are some steps you need to take to make sure that it goes off without any hassles. You can read about those nine steps in this blog. August temperatures in Augusta range from 60 F in the evening to 82 F during the day. So you'll probably need both a windbreaker and sweat-wicking clothing to be comfortable throughout the days you spend at the New Jersey State Fair. It's always important to have enough water to stay hydrated during the hottest part of each day. You should also protect your skin with sunblock and a hat and your eyes with sunglasses when in the bright sunshine.
