The Mississippi State Fair, which runs for two weeks during October, has been held for 162 years. With such a history, it's no surprise that the fair attracts people from all over the country to celebrate the best of Mississippi. There are plenty of family-friendly activities, including pie-eating contests and livestock shows. For the adults, they're welcome to try some of the best food in the state or browse the antique car show.
