Nothing helps you get quicker insight into a region and its people than heading to their local fair. You’ll find all kinds of food, crafts, art, and activities that make the people of that area unique. Of course, along with showcasing the state’s traditions, the fair is also home to rides, carnival games, exhibitions, and more. The 50th State Fair features all these things, plus the Amazing Anastasini Circus, the Keiki Hula Competition, and a variety of local entertainers.
The 50th State Fair comes to Aloha Stadium each year for four weekends, beginning Memorial Day weekend and ending in late June. It’s one of the largest annual events in the state, There is a petting zoo for kids, the circus and hula competition, and midway rides including a carousel, the Magic Maze funhouse, bumper cars, a super slide, and Zero Gravity - a high-speed, gravity-defying ride for thrillseekers.
Admission to the fair: You can use your Fun Pass - a rechargeable card you swipe to get in and to ride the attractions. You can learn more about how to obtain and reload a Fun Passhere. Kids shorter than 40 inches are allowed in free.

There are a few places to camp near the 50th State Fair! You can enjoy a full day at the fair and then camp with a beautiful view of beaches and green hills and mountains. Hotels
Although RV camping is a wonderful way to attend state fairs, camping in Hawaii can sometimes prove a challenge. You can also find plenty of hotels in Honolulu where you can stay while visiting the fair as well Many major chains have a hotel in town, or you can stay at a mom-and-pop hotel instead. Check travel sites like Expedia and Travelocity for help finding hotels in the area.
Directions from the east (Honolulu/Waikiki): Take H-1 westbound, keep left and take I-H201 W/HI-78 via Exit 19B toward Fort Shafter/Aiea. Take exit 1 toward Stadium/Camp Smith/Halawa. Stay straight to go onto Ulune Ext. Turn left onto Kahuapaani St. Turn right onto Salt Lake Blvd.
Directions from the West (Koolina, Kapolei, Waianae): Take H-1 eastbound. Merge onto I-H201 E/HI-78 E via exit 13B. Take exit 1B toward Stadium/Pearl Harbor. Merge onto Kahuapaani St. Turn right onto Salt Lake Boulevard
Directions from Windward Side (Kailua/Kaneohe): Take H-3W toward Pearl Harbor. Take exit 1C toward Stadium/Halawa/Camp Smith/Aiea. Turn left onto Kahupaani Street. Turn right onto Salt Lake Boulevard.
Parking is on the Diamond Head side of the stadium parking lot.
You need to purchase a Fun Pass to enter the fair, and all rides and other attractions require credits be used from the Fun Pass. To purchase a Fun Pass, you need to spend $20, and then that $20 is loaded onto the card to be used for fair admission, games, and more. The pass can be continually reloaded so you don’t need to get a new one each year.
