For a “back-to-nature” adventure, you can stay at this state park on the west side of Galveston Island. It covers an area that includes a beach on the Gulf, a bay side, and a prairie in the middle. The on-site outdoor activities are diverse and even include mountain biking.
f you think that RV camping in Galveston is incomplete without a good place to fish, then make your reservations at this state park. You can fish from the shore without a license, and that’s true whether you’re on the Gulf side or by the bay. The park has a fish cleaning station as well as a launch for canoes and kayaks
“…Here you can have some peace and quiet while exploring the beach and bay side of the island, including camping, walking paths, wildlife observation towers, and paddling trails…” – Stuart, Yelp Review
