On the east shore of the Hudson River, just an hour north of Manhattan, you’ll find this lovely park. It’s just an easy train ride into NYC, taking less than an hour! Despite being well outside of the metropolitan area, it’s actually easier to get to Manhattan from here than it is from many parts of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The park is directly on the Hudson River and next to a number of parks, golf courses, and other amenities, making it scenic and convenient.
This is a region full of historic and cultural significance in the Hudson Valley. It is home to the oldest wine cellars in New York, for one. The 508 acre park offers beautiful views of the Hudson River as well. This is one of the easiest and most affordable accommodations to conveniently access Manhattan and The Statue of Liberty. They offer year-round facilities for RV camping, hiking, and they also have seasonal swimming. This region has been occupied by Native Americans as far back as 7,000 years ago, lending it a great and important history.
