Chantilly Festival Farm and RV Campground was founded in 2011. It has become one of the area’s best camping and special event locales. Enjoy grassy fields, wildlife and woodlands with the whole family.
Chantilly Festival Farm and RV Campground features many trail systems on its 200 acres. Hike or bike through the Appalachia woodlands and explore the Blue Ridge Mountains. Found within a holler of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this campground offers a rustic experience with woods and relaxation. There are lots of things to do at the campsite like play games and hang out in the pavilion when you’re not out at the lake or exploring one of the many trails. If you feel like getting wet but don’t want to go into the James River, there is a large swimming pool on the campground to lounge in. There are restaurants and shopping nearby in Buchanan.

This campground is part of the Dixie Caverns, which is a naturally occurring cave in the mountain that stretches on for miles underground. The cavern will take some time to fully explore, and you’ll get to see the formation of living rock that slowly has been working over millions of years growing in every direction. When you’re done in the cavern, you can go relax on spacious campsites in a peaceful campground.
The campground is not only great for visiting the cavern but also makes an excellent home base for exploring the area. Roanoke is near other attractions like Civil War historical sites. The owners are very nice: they always have something going on for the kids, big field just out front where you can see the kids playing. A pond for fishing with some big catches. The grounds are well kept, and the restrooms are cleaned through the day, very clean. There is a restaurant at the end of the main road that offers a great breakfast.
