Farm Island Recreation Area
Farm Island Recreation Area is a state-run campground in Pierre, South Dakota. The campground has around 90 sites for both campers and RVs. The park is a hot spot for both day and overnight visitors looking to unwind in a tural environment.
River View RV Park
River View RV Park is located alongside the Missouri River in Pierre. Its convenient location puts you right in the center of the city in a matter of minutes. A kindhearted couple, Cody and Lila, runs the park.
Oahe Downstream Recreation Area
The Oahe Downstream Recreation Area features three different campgrounds for a variety of overnight accommodations. It is centered on a dam built by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1948. The scenic park offers plenty of amenities and lots to do, including disc golf, swimming, and boating.
Left Tailrace Recreation Area
The Left Tailrace Recreation Area sits on the shore of Lake Francis Case along the Missouri River. The park encompasses over 8,000 acres of public land, which features hiking trails, boat launches, and much more. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing, bird-watching, and other nature-based recreational activities.
Fischers Lilly Park
Fischers Lilly Park is a small RV campground located in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. Known as the meeting place of the Lakota and Lewis and Clark on their expedition, this is part of the National Register of Historic Places. It is also at the mouth of the Bad River, making it a great home base for anglers and boaters.
Codgers Cove RV Park
Codgers Cove RV park is located along Lake Oahe at the mouth of the Missouri River. The small campground offers an abundance of outdoor activities, including boating and fishing. The campground is located directly across the street from the Spring Creek Marina.
Okobojo Resort
Okobojo Resort is a rugged lakeside campground that boasts plenty of full-service RV sites. It features a full-service restaurant and bar for late-night treats. The campground even has its own boat dock, located within the bay, for easy access to Lake Oahe.
Cow Creek Recreation Area
Cow Creek Recreation Area is a medium-sized park located in Pierre. It boasts around 40 campsites with minimal amenities. Some of the sites are located on the peninsula of the river.
Little Bend RV Park
Little Bend RV Park is a privately owned campground on the banks of Lake Oahe. The campground boasts dirt roads, grassy hills, and astounding waterfront views. The new fish-cleaning station, built by the South Dakota Fish and Wildlife Foundation, is a great asset to anglers.
