While Lake Perris itself is manmade, the scenic sprawl of hills and forest that cover the park is anything but. This recreational area is less crowded than many others that are nearby, but it’s not due to a lack of natural beauty. Those who like to stay busy can spend their day hiking, swimming, and fishing and their nights taking in the unobstructed views of the starry sky.
There are plenty of lakes in the Inland Empire, but not many of them will let you bring your boat out on the water. Lake Perris SRA is home to a fully functioning marina, and visitors are encouraged to test out the waters for themselves. There’s even a mountainous island at the center of the lake outfitted with picnic areas.
“We came here during the first week of April on a very good weather day, light wind, sunny & few clouds. The lake was not crowded. The lake level was decent due to the good rainy winter season. We tried fishing but did not have a good day. We did see several fishes caught by other boats. We even witnessed a double hook up on one boat. One good plus on this trip are the blooms of the yellow wild daisies.” – Francis, TripAdvisor Review

“Very, very quiet. No junky sites whatsoever. No Wi-Fi at the site, had to go to the clubhouse, but ATT data and phone worked fine. Cable tv included.
