Each space has its own 50a/30a/20a, water/sewer connections, trash, with WIFI access coming soon, and a 60' parking pad, big rig friendly. With laundry and other amenities in late summer. Gillham Lake is a Cossatot River reservoir with a total of three campgrounds around it. Little and Big Coon Creek Campgrounds are both above the dam at the end of a steep, windy road. The small park has only 10 sites, and the large one has 31 spacious paved spots that each have a grill and fire ring.
Big Coon Creek Park has a couple of hiking trails and a sandy beach. Several pieces of playground equipment are on site for the children, including one that is actually in the lake’s shallow water. Although fishing, swimming, and kayaking are the most popular sports at the park, hunters are permitted to search for prey just north of Little Coon Creek Park on the east side of the lake.

Very close to De Queen, Arkansas, Gillham Lake is known as the “Bright Spot” on the Cossatot River. The lake, which was origilly built to control flooding and provide a habitat for wildlife, has five recreation areas around it. Cossatot Reefs COE is one of the three campgrounds that provide access to the lake for fishing, boating, and other activities.
Whether you camp on a wooded site or in plain view of the water, you’ll love the beautiful dogwoods that blossom in the spring. You can admire them as you walk along the campground’s ture trail or ride your motorcycle on the nearby country roads. Cossatot Reefs COE has a shelter for group activities, a playground for the little ones, and an amphitheater for entertainment.

De Queen Lake, which is a segment of the dam project on Rolling Fork River, has some great campgrounds on its shores. At Oak Grove COE, you can hunt on any part of the land that’s not close to the dam or the recreation areas. Although the RV campsites are not right on the water, guests consider the lake to be a big attraction for swimming, boating, and various water sports.
Just a short drive from Oak Grove COE is downtown De Queen with its stores, restaurants, and gas stations. You can purchase all the food and supplies that you need for a picnic or a day at the sandy beach. After you return to your campsite, you may want to send the kids to the playground for even more activity.

On the northern edge of De Queen Lake is a great spot for picnics, motorcycle rides, and fishing. Bellah Mine COE campground provides a boat ramp for guests who want to catch some bass, catfish, and crappie. Various types of sunfish have also been reeled in at times by lucky fishermen.
De Queen campsites are normally level and convenient, but the set-up at the Bellah Mine park is exceptiol. While every site has the usual picnic table, fire ring, and grill, the arrangement makes use of terracing. The fire ring sits at the lowest level, and the grill and table are one tier above it.

This COE park is surrounded by many acres of wilderness, and although the campground doesn’t have official hiking trails, guests are free to roam around the area at will. This De Queen, Arkansas campground may seem like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s actually close to the downtown hub. You can go to De Queen to buy supplies that are not available at the RV park’s general store. If you want to invite some friends for a get-together, you can use the picnic area.
