Just 30 minutes from Baltimore and 45 minutes from Washington D.C., this is a great place to stay if you want to double up on both cities. The park itself is near the water just minutes from Herald Harbor. It’s location right off of I-97 make it fairly easy to reach, as well. Filly, the campground offers a daily shuttle to the U.S. capitol, so you don’t have to worry about driving into the city. They even offer regular sightseeing tours.
This KOA pulls out all the stops to offer a phenomel experience for you and your family. The sites are clean, well-shaded, and scenic, and the activities are endless. From ice cream socials at the pool and ping pong tourments to flashlight scavenger hunts and outdoor movies, you’ll stay entertained at this campground. However, given its proximity to the Baltimore Inner Harbor as well as a convenient shuttle that takes guests to the U.S. Capitol, you might not spend a whole lot of time at this KOA. If you do, though, you’ll find 50 acres of rolling hills filled with walking and biking trails.

Louise F. Cosca Regional Park is administered by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. It has developed areas for playing and picnicking and wilderness areas for hiking just 15 miles south of Washington, D.C. Reservations are required for groups of six or more people.
Cosca Regional Park has boat rentals, picnic areas with shelters, a snack bar and tennis courts. It has undeveloped areas in its 690 acres where you can hike. It is near Andrews Air Force Base and offers easy access for visiting Washington, D.C.

Located on the coast of the Chesapeake Bay, Bay Shore Campground is one of the few RV parks in the Eastern Shore, Maryland area that features an on-site pond and lake. It is 3 miles south of the town of Rock Hall and 15 miles east of historic Chestertown. Bay Shore Campground is also 3 miles north of the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge, which is known for its bird-watching and nature trails.
Bay Shore Campground is right on the Chesapeake Bay, so you’ll be able to go swimming, fishing, and boating. The camp has a storage area if you decide to bring your own boat, and you’ll be able to launch it from the on-site boat ramp.
