Balsam Woods Campground is a hidden paradise located right in the heart of Maine, just a half hour south of Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in Maine, and 60 miles as the crow flies from the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, Mt. Katahdin, in Baxter State Park.

Spacious Skies Walnut Grove
Spacious Skies Walnut Grove sits in historic Shaker country and is just 30 to 40 minutes away from downtown Portland, classy Kennebunkport, and all the southern Maine beaches. Right around the corner from the campground you’ll find access to Shaker Pond for fishing and paddleboating, and down the road is ATV trail access for nearby adventure. Onsite they have a stocked camp store, swimming pool, jumping pillow, classic rec hall, and brand new play equipment, as well as some peaceful walking trails in the back of the property.
This family friendly campground is one you can't skip. They offer large open and wooded sites that can accommodate any size trailer. Each site includes a picnic table, fireplace, water and 20/30-amp electrical service. Some sites have sewer, cable and 50-amp electrical service.
