This is a clean, safe, and affordable park for families. Only 6.7 miles from Gillette Castle State Park, it makes a great home-base for the castle and other neighboring attractions. Located on 22.5 acres, the campground offers an excellent view of the Connecticut countryside.
The GrandView has a beautiful country setting with old fashioned entertainment. There is a game room with plenty of games for the kids. The store has a room for board games, books, and a good wifi connection.
“This is our 3rd trip the Grand View. I am still amazed on all the continued improvements, some of which are 7 new W/E/S sites with 4 more in the works. Bathrooms & showers by pool area were clean but found shower stalls cramped and tough to move around in. Most of the new W/E/S sites are pull thru and excess seems easy even with the larger Class A’s. Geography at the campground is mostly open on a slightly graded hill. Grounds are well maintained. Interior roads and sites dirt and crushed stone. Our W/E hookups were in good working order and no problem backing into our site. WiFi was very good, okay signal on our Verizon cell phone. Grandview is located in a beautiful country area which just adds more character to an already great little country campground that caters to the quieter crowd. Owners were professional, friendly and informative and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Would certainly return again or recommend this place to anyone.” – mdcamping, RV Park Reviews
