Castaways RV Resort is on the coast of the Sinepuxent Bay and boasts views of both the Ocean City skyline and Assateague Island. Castaways RV Resort is open each year from late March to late October.

Roaring Point Waterfront Campground in Eastern Shore, Maryland, sits inside Wicomico County. It is located along the bank of the Nanticoke River about 22 miles southwest of Salisbury, the home of the Salisbury Zoo, Nutters Crossing Golf Club, and the Ward Museum at Salisbury University. Open from late March to mid-November, Roaring Point is also about 29 miles away from Deal Island.
Since Roaring Point Waterfront Campground is on the Nanticoke River, you’ll have access to a beach and be able to go swimming, fishing, crabbing, and boating. Island Resort Co-op RV Park is one of the RV campgrounds in Eastern Shore, Maryland. It is about 3.1 miles from Newark, Maryland, and 14.5 miles from Ocean City. Not only does the campground sit on the bank of Bassett Creek, it also has a lake and a pond that are both stocked with fish.
At Island Resort Co-op RV Park, which has been family owned since 2005, you can fish at either the lake or the pond or rent a kayak and spend the day on the water. The swimming pool is heated, and you can enjoy it throughout most of the camping season. You can also go to the beach at the lake, and if you forgot to bring something, you can probably find it in the on-site general store.

Located on the coast of the Chesapeake Bay, Bay Shore Campground is one of the few RV parks in the Eastern Shore, Maryland area that features an on-site pond and lake. It is 3 miles south of the town of Rock Hall and 15 miles east of historic Chestertown. Bay Shore Campground is also 3 miles north of the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge, which is known for its bird-watching and nature trails.
Bay Shore Campground is right on the Chesapeake Bay, so you’ll be able to go swimming, fishing, and boating. The camp has a storage area if you decide to bring your own boat, and you’ll be able to launch it from the on-site boat ramp. If you don’t like swimming or fishing, you can enjoy the volleyball court, basketball court, or horseshoe pit instead while your kids romp in the playground.

Janes Island State Park is an Eastern Shore campground in Somerset County about 2.5 miles from Crisfield. Over 2,900 acres of salt marsh make up the island part of the park, which sits along the Chesapeake Bay and Daugherty Creek. It also boasts miles of pristine and secluded beaches.
If you love boating, you will enjoy Janes Island State Park because it offers over 30 miles of “water trails” as well as kayak and canoe rentals from late April through October. Janes Island also has an area where you can launch your boat, and there are many places where you can fish from the shore. The marina also has a place where you can clean your catches.

Assateague Island National Seashore Campground is operated by the National Park Service. Assateague is a barrier island in the Atlantic Ocean shared by Maryland and Virginia, but camping is only allowed in the Maryland section. Assateague Island is most famous for its wild horses that are believed to have lived there since the 17th century.
Assateague Island National Seashore Campground has notably fewer amenities than many campgrounds, but there are lots of things to do, including taking pictures of the horses and other local wildlife. You can also go swimming, fishing, kayaking, or canoeing. Assateague even has horse camps for people who bring their equine friends along, and the Visitor Center boasts various exhibits, including a film about the horses, touch tanks, and aquaria.

Woodlawn Campground is a small family-run campground that was established in 1971. It is about 35 miles west of Ocean City and 31.3 miles northwest of Assateague Island. Much of the campground is in a wooded area, but the trees are kept pruned to avoid problems with awnings or extending sides.
Woodlawn Campground is an inexpensive and basic campground that provides easy access to attractions such as Assateague Island. It is clean and well-kept, and the owner has an excellent reputation for both her helpfulness and knowledge of the area. There are also several rivers and ponds where you can go fishing, and across the street from the camp is a large yard where you can exercise your dog.

Lake Somerset Campground is a family-owned campground near a highway. While this means it can be noisy, it also means it is easy to reach local stores and attractions, including Ocean City, which is about 43 miles northeast. The campground is also less than 20 miles south of Salisbury, which is home to both a university and a zoo.
