What People Are Saying About Kanawha State Forest

“We had so much fun playing in the river! We went in the through the entrance in corridor G. If you have never been through this way you will wonder if you are going the Right way because you wind down through a bunch of neighborhoods, but if you follow the signs you will be fine. I lost GPS signal maybe half a mile out. Right in the entrance of the park is a great playground that we all had so much fun on. There is also a small hiking trail there just across the bridge. We played a bit in the river and had fun trying to catch crawdads and fish.” – Mama, Google Reviews

“40 plus miles of trails ideal for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and running. Paved road through the park is good for early morning bicycle rides, walks, and jogging. Due to the trees not many unobstructed views anymore. That’s the only reason I give it 4 stars. The streams are ice cold. Neat history about coal mining on the CCC trail.” – Mark, Google Reviews
