Just 36 miles north of Bowling Green is Nolin Lake State Park, which is run by the Kentucky State Parks Department. It features large, private sites and is quiet and off the beaten path. The park has a camp store but is not near shopping, so you should bring what you need.
Moutardier COE
Located about 20 miles north of Bowling Green, Moutardier COE is a seasonal park that’s open from May to October. It sits on the shores of Nolin River Lake, where there is great fishing. The lake is famous for catfish, crappie, walleye, and bass fishing.
The Narrows COE
The Narrows COE is located on Barren River Lake. It comprises 92 acres and has a marina and boat launch ramp. There are walking trails along the cliffs and by the lake.
Singing Hills RV Park & Campground
Singing Hills RV Park & Campground is a no-frills park that prides itself on its peace and quiet. It offers fishing and a few recreation opportunities, but it is not a resort-style campground. The park is located just 2 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park.
Bailey’s Point Campground
Bailey’s Point Campground is open from April through to October and it is located in south-central Kentucky along Barren River Lake. It’s also the largest of the Army Corps of Engineers’ campgrounds within the area, offering a secluded and private getaway for both tent and RV campers.

Double J Stables and Campgrounds is located off the Northeastern corner of Mammoth Cave National Park. We are about as close as you can get to the Mammoth Cave National Park. You do not need to cross or ride on any public roads to enter the park, just mount up and ride on in.

Overview Cave Creek Campground is located on the shore of Rough River Lake in south central Kentucky. The 5,100-acre lake is a hometown paradise for visitors who love the outdoors, and more than two million visitors camp, picnic, fish, swim, boat and relax on the lake shore each year. Recreation A wide variety of recreational activities and facilities are provided at the lake, including ample opportunities for boating and fishing. The most sought after fish are bass, crappie and catfish, and bass tournaments occur at the lake throughout the year. Rough River Lake provides views of ancient sandstone, shale and limestone cliffs. The lake itself is home to numerous species of wildlife, including migratory songbirds and waterfowl. Nearby Attractions This historic Green Farm is adjacent to the lake. It consists of about 3,000 acres, a large ancestral home, an old water-powered mill, and a golf course. Mammoth Cave National Park, which boasts the longest cave system in the world with more than 240 miles of mapped passageways, is about a one-hour drive away. Cancellations made the date before you are scheduled to arrive through the day after your arrival date will also be charged the first night's use fee. If your reservaiton is for onliy 1 night, and you have been charged the first night's use fee, there is no $10 or $20 service fee charged.

Overview Nat Caldwell Park is located right off of US-31E/Nashville Pike. This park is an ideal place for a day of picnicking and other outdoor activities. Recreation Nat Caldwell is smaller and not as busy as some of the other parks in the area making it a great place to relax and enjoy your day. It offers a reserveable group picnic shelter, grill, open grassy areas, and shoreline for fishing. It also serves as a great place to launch kayaks and canoes from the shoreline due to the fact is is in the headwaters of Station Camp Creek on Old Hickory Lake. If you need to launch a larger boat, Station Camp Creek is located straight across Nashville Pike just off of Douglas Bend Road. Natural Features Old Hickory Lake is a 22,500 acre reservoir created by the Old Hickory Lock and Dam on the Cumberland River. The lake is named after former president Andrew Jackson, a Tennessee-native nicknamed "Old Hickory" for his tough and aggressive personality. The lake features 440 miles of scenic shoreline, surrounded by wooded flatlands and plenty of access points. Nearby Attractions Hikers may be interested in the nearby Lock 4 Park. It offers hiking trails as well as mountain bike trails. Gregory Lake RV Park
One of the more unique campgrounds in Owensboro, Kentucky, Gregory Lake RV Park caters to all-terrain-vehicle buffs. If you want to have some off-road fun with an ATV, this park has miles of muddy trails for you to enjoy during your stay. You can also go fishing in one of the on-site stocked lakes.
Ohio County Park and Campground
This is a unique campground that is designed to look like Fort Hartford, which helped protect early settlers of this town from attacks during the period of 1782 to 1810. The campground is a full 500 acres. Ohio County Park Campground is located right off Kentucky 69.
