General Sibley Park is part of the Bismarck Parks system. It offers a convenient location just off of the Bismarck Expressway. Since the park won the 2017 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in the Field of Parks and Recreation, guests can expect great amenities.
Camping is affordable at General Sibley Park and Campground. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of amenities. There are showers and restrooms on site as well as a picnic shelter. You’ll also find campsites that offer 30-amp only as well as others that have 20/30/50-amp sites. If you want to take advantage of a sunny day, be sure to try the disc golf course. The KOA in Bismarck is open all year. In addition to the many RV sites, you’ll find lodging for rent as well as tent camping areas. The camp managers throw many events throughout the year, including ice cream socials.
While the park is open year-round, there are limited facilities during the off-season. The KOA is big-rig friendly and has easy access from the I-94. Neidhardt Mobile Home RV Park is a family-friendly campground with a great location in New Salem. The park is located in the same area where General Custer and one thousand of his troops spent the night in 1876. However, you can expect 21st-century accommodations for large rigs.

This relatively small campground is owned by the Velva Community Development Program. The campsites are located across the river from a beautiful city park, offering great views. You can find affordable rates as well as many amenities.
The Velva Campground offers some of the most affordable rates around. You can look forward to 30-amp electrical hookups as well as water and sewer. The shower facilities provide hot water with a lot of water pressure. You can also take advantage of the on-site picnic shelters, which are great for entertaining groups. A playground is available for the kids. There’s also a public swimming pool with a separate admission that’s not included in the site rental fee. Downstream Campground is found on the Missouri River’s east bank. A variety of recreational activities are available throughout the area. If you’re looking for a beautiful campsite with plenty for the whole family to enjoy, this is the place to visit.
You will find that there is a lot to love about Downstream Campground. In addition to the spacious campsites, you can also enjoy an amphitheater and picnic shelters for group gatherings. While you’re here, you have access to hot showers and pit toilets. The onsite volleyball courts and a playground are also fun.

Rafter H RV Court is located in nearby Golden Valley, which is not far south from Lake Sakakawea. While at this campground, you can relax on the prairie and catch sight of some of the nearby wildlife. When you’re ready for some fun on the water, head up to the lake.
