I know, flies are natural, but there were too much around our cabin. I killed a total of 11 during our stay (We were there for 3 days). Other than that, I really enjoyed our vacation there.” – Chase, Google Review

Civil War buffs, rejoice! This campground on the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia is centrally located between three major historical attractions. For other families and campers, the wide variety of on-site activities and beautiful scenery provides a fun retreat.
“This was a very nice KOA. We were by the Civil War trench. All the spots along the trench seem to have shade. There was construction going on by the store and front part of the campground. Didn’t see it as a problem. They are working hard to be ready for summer and we are thankful to see them putting in the hard work to get it ready and improve it each year. They have so many functions for the kids. A must go in the summer if you have kids. The game room reminds me of the 70’s – 80’s game rooms. Pool area is nice and they have live music on Saturday when we were there. Will be going back” – Sean, Google Review

We couldn’t find the place we had booked and discovered that the brakes weren’t working on our RV trailer. It was 10 pm and we were searching for a place to stop for the night. We called Leathermans and they were great! Someone came out to the gate when we got there to let us in and got us checked in and to our site quickly. The entire staff was very helpful and pleasant. “Upon arrival Jen met us at the gate since we were late getting there. Not only were we late, but my son had not shown up yet with the camper, his daughter had a late soccer game. So that left, me, my daughter-in-law, and there two daughters 11 and 14 months. It was dark and getting cold and the baby was ready for bed. Jen and now the mager Bonnie came over to help. They expressed concern and without hesitation put us up in a vacant cabin until my son arrived, 2 hours later. Without their kindness and understanding we would have had to rent a motel room. They stopped by and made sure we had everything we needed and were warm.” – Jen, TripAdvisor Review
