The RV park is not in a busy area, so you don’t have to worry about overcrowding. You can back your travel vehicle right up to the ocean and go to sleep at night to the sound of crashing waves.`
While this RV park doesn’t have much shade for the adults, it has a covered playground that keeps your kids out of the sun. Your dog will be happy when you take him or her for a walk around the big loop. Recent renovations have improved the quality of the campsites; they now have paved, level pads that are surrounded by grass.

If you run out of things to do at this RV park, you can catch a shuttle and ride into town for some shopping and sightseeing. However, you’ll have to camp at the resort for a long time to get bored. The facility has a swimming pool, hot tub, and lazy river plus a private catch-and-release lake, volleyball court, and horseshoe pit.

You’ll find this new gated RV park on the grounds of the old Sandpiper Motel. The office, which is in the original building, features a kitchen, theater, and card room. Since this RV resort is on Galveston Island’s east end, it’s close to Stewart Beach and the Historic Pleasure Pier.
