Rent an RV

The Grand Rapids Camper, Travel & RV Show is the biggest recreational vehicle show in Michigan, so this is the place to come in the Wolverine State to see the latest RV models, features, equipment, and accessories. Held each year in January, the Grand Rapids Camper, Travel & RV Show is attended by more than a dozen Michigan RV dealers that represent over 100 brands. You can check out motorhomes, travel trailers, fold-downs, and van campers, and there are interesting seminars to attend. The show is held in the DeVos Place convention center, and the displays cover more than 200,000 square feet.

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

A huge selection of RVs and RV equipment and accessories are the main attraction at the Grand Rapids Camper, Travel & RV Show, but there are plenty of other things to see and do. The CranHill Ranch family zone in the South Exhibit Hall offers a range of fun activities that kids will love. The Campfire Grill is a great place to enjoy some delicious food and read RV brochures, and you won’t want to miss the pancake breakfast on Saturday morning. The Grand Rapids Camper, Travel & RV Show is also a great place to learn about the latest developments in the RV world. During the 2025 show, seminars cover topics ranging from sizing an RV solar power system to enjoying America’s National Parks. Guest speakers include a couple who called a 15-foot trailer home during 10-year trip around the United States.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

DeVos Place has all the amenities you would expect to find in a top-notch convention center. ATMs can be found in the main lobby and next to the Grand Gallery ticket office, and several bathrooms dot the facility. A private area is reserved for nursing mothers, and the large information booth doubles as a lost-and-found office. Security and medical professionals will be on duty throughout the event.

LOCATION

DeVos Place 303 Monroe Ave Grand Rapids, MI 49503

DeVos Place is located in Grand Rapids close to both Interstate 196 and U.S. Route 131. The closest airport is Gerald R. Ford International Airport, which is also located right off U.S. Route 131.

RVING AT THE EVENT

If you will be driving an RV to the show, you won’t find any dedicated RV facilities. DeVos Place is in a busy urban area, so there isn’t any vacant land nearby to park RVs. That shouldn't be a problem, though, because there are several great RV parks a short drive away.

Steamboat Park is a scenic RV campground just 10 miles from DeVos Place. There are 108 back-in and pull-through RV hook-up sites at Steamboat Park, and some of them are on the banks of the Grand River. You can enjoy bike paths and walking trails and sail or kayak on the river. Daily rates start at $56, and all the RV sites feature:

• Water, sewer, and electric hookups

• Gravel pads

• Concrete patios

• Fire pits

• Picnic tables

Not all RV parks in Michigan are open during the winter months, but Woodchip Campground is. Located in Byron Center on 33 wooded acres, Woodchip Campground has 70 winter sites with heated water risers. These include standard sites with water and 30-amp electric hookups and deluxe sites with water, sewer, and 50-amp electric hookups. The campground has a pool for guests and a dog park for their canine companions. The campground is about 12 miles from DeVos Place, and rates start at $55 per night.

If you want to enjoy peace and quiet when you visit the show, Baldwin Oaks Campground could be the perfect place to park your RV. It will take you about 20 minutes to drive to DeVos Place from Baldwin Oaks campground, but you will be able to take it easy in a secluded woodland setting each night. RV sites feature water and 30- and 50-amp electric hookups, and rates start at $53 per night. The amenities at Baldwin Oaks Campground include:

• Pickle ball, volleyball, and basketball courts

• Playgrounds

• A large heated pool

• A game room

• A convenience store

• Laundry facilities

• Horseshoe pits

• Shuffleboard
