Skagit Washington Class C RV Rental Reviews

My husband and I just returned from our first RV trip and couldn’t be happier with the experience we had thanks to Gene and Valerie. This RV is literally stocked with everything you could need and is absolutely beautiful. Easy to drive, lots of space, just the perfect rig!

I rented this RV last minute as I had another owner from this site cancel on me 4 days before my trip!! Doc was prompt in responding to my initial contact and all the way through my trip when I had questions. I did have one small issue with the propane not working, but we came to agreement that was satisfactory to both of us. The RV was basic and had minimal supplies, but we didn’t need many amenities for our trip. Driving the rig was easy, very much like driving a Uhaul truck. Our trip was from Seattle to The Gorge, which took about 3 1/2 hours with a little traffic through the mountains. Having the RV at the Gorge was key as the temp dropped into the 40’s-50’s at night. I would definitely rent this RV again as the price was quite fair and the rig met my needs!

Before the detailed review I will caveat it with the following: - ViaRV offered financial compensation to amend issues (refunded gas/mileage overage) - I appreciated pickup on a Saturday morning when they would typically be closed That said, I encountered many service/parts issues that really complicated the entire trip and made for a less than desirable experience - Battery was not in working condition upon pickup, and only way to resolve was asking my group to drive 20-30 mins north to service center, where we waited nearly 2 hours to determine fix and get us on the road. - The cabin was dirty (mainly living room area and stairs) and we were given the excuse that "Well, this one just came back from Burning Man, so not everything could be cleaned) - There was very little instruction or tutorial given (we said we were first time RVers) and I had to consult an online owners manual to get generator running, turn on propane, etc.). We had to learn all functions ourselves, on the fly. - The RV defaulted to "Tow" mode, something that was not explained. Thus the ride was very loud/bumpy until we figured out how to resolve. Overall I appreciate that the company was willing to offer financial compensation for our issues, but I expected a much better experience from a company. Maybe it's just because I got the last of 12 RVs, and they saved the worst RV for last.
