Henderson Nevada Class C RV Rental Reviews

Overall great experience. I little hiccup with the rental paperwork process, but in the end, not a big issue. RV was very clean and set up very nice. Coordinating with the Fleet Mgr., Zavier for pick up and drop off was excellent. He was patient and very accommodating while dealing with my flight delays/changes. This was my first experience in RVing. The Minnie Winnie did drive as described; very smooth and easy. Would definitely rent from Tony and his team again.

This experience was great and the family had fun! We would gladly rent again.

As first time RVers, we really appreciated Angie’s availability for questions.

I want to preface these comments by stating that I am a U.S. Foreign Service Diplomat on leave for the holidays. I have owned several RVs and am in the process of restoring a 1963 Airstream, which is why I needed to rent an RV. I had several emails to Gabor to inquire about this RV, as pictures of "Brody" RV didn't necessarily match, i.e. two different kitchen layouts, and interior arrangements. I have to say though, Gabor is quick to respond to inquiries, even up to the day of pick-up to ask that the refrigerator be turned on AND to confirm the furnace was operable since we would be in cold climate. I was assured on day of pick up with my last email before arriving that "Brody" was ready to go. When we arrived, I did not see RV "Brody" in their lot however. I was told I'd be using "Aggie". I inquired as to whereabouts of "Brody" and was told that it was not available. Upon inspecting Aggie, I found it to be in horrible condition. Dinette table surface cracked, molding falling off in many places, the cloth coverings were actually disgusting. The overall condition of Aggie was truly sub-par. I told the owner(s), I was not taking this unit for our trip. Apparently the person that I was emailing was not at the location in Las Vegas, rather in New York. I spoke to her on the phone and after several exchanges about what was promised, even up to the day of, and what was available to me, we settled on using another unit "Winnie12" rather than cancel our trip and get a refund. But this unit had issues as well. The passenger mirror was broken off. This took about an hour to replace from another RV on the lot. Got to our destination in the dark. Upon check out, things seemed operable … But after driving for 2 hours to get to our destination, it was obvious that this unit was not well maintained at all. I must say that this rental outfit is really not experienced with RVs in the least. I spent 1/2hr with them at the end of our journey to inform them of how an RV is supposed to function. Nice Hungarian people, but really they do not have a clue. Below is a highlight list of issues with this unit; * Water pump leaking. Constantly having to make up pressure. visible water pooling at doorway. * Cracked vents/fan: Rattled to no end above your head while driving. Asked about this before taking off as it was string tied in place. * House batteries have dead cell: Tried to explain this to the owner as you could not make it through the night on a charge. Only thing running was the furnace fan. (interesting, while explaining this to the owner, he insisted that batteries only last for an hour) This of course is not the case for how RVs work. He also tried to show me that the battery was reading good on a 'draw-test'. However, what he didn't realize was that he was testing the generator starting battery, which was good. * Furnace (propane) and A/C unit wired to same thermostat, but not wired correctly. To run the generator to charge the house batteries while having the propane furnace on, the A/C would come on as well. No way to turn off A/C and keep furnace running. Ended up having to run the engine to get us heat when the batteries were dead. (Owner tried to tell me that furnace can only come on with generator, which is obviously not the case) Had to show him the procedure to which left him scratching his head and indicating that he needed to return the RV to the dealer. * Their advertisement states that all you need it food and drinks! We found this to not be the case as there were several basic utensils and cooking equipment lacking. Really … paper cups for coffee? Bottom Line: Think twice before using this outfit! I had read one review stating a previous renter had been given another RV than was promised and I thought that was possibly a 'one-off' case. But after several emails from Gabor on the condition of the RV I was supposed to be renting and that it was ready to go …. well, from above, you can see there is much to be desired. They have about 14 RVs I'm told. There were all in similar condition, save for a couple new ones.
