Medford Massachusetts Class A RV Rental Reviews
We picked up the RV and it shook like the tires were going to fall off. Horrible driving experience. We asked about the tires needing to be replaced owner said no he had it checked out but tires were fine. After 2500 miles tires from mile 1 to mile 2500 shook the entire time. Very frustrating and everything inside the RV rattled and made a lot of noise. Driving the RV was hard enough with the bad roads in New York and Pennsylvania, but the front end made if dangerous to drive with white knuckles. Driving down the first day in Conn. We were locked in the RV with no way out except through the emergency Glass window in the back and only I was tall enough to get out. It was a nightmare. We were never given a key for the dead bolt lock when the dead bolt broke, we could not get roadside assistance to help that we paid for, they only handle tires and batteries. I suggest making sure you have other roadside coverage. We have AAA and they do not touch RV 's unless you add RV insurance. No locksmiths would come help after 5 or 6 calls made. We ended up calling 911 and the police came, this was after not being able to get out for almost 5 hours. We never got to our destination that night. We could no longer shut the door without using cable ties to hold it shut when driving. This went on for 3 days until we go to South Carolina. I had to search all the RV stores to see about replacing the lock, this took over 3 hours while my family was at the beach. When we left I found one place that had the exact lock, but could not install it until the late afternoon. So I took and hour and half more time to install it. Did I get reimbursed for my loss of a half day? NO. During the first 3 night everyone in the RV was bit by spiders and had big welts on there arms and legs. Was never properly cleaned and sprayed after the 8,000 trip to Alaska the owner took it on. It sat though the winter and we were the first to go into it and use it. Lucky us. We stayed at very nice RV parks along the coast, with electric sewer, water and cable. Only one problem, the 5 tv's listed in the owners description, don't work. We did not see the 7th game of the NBA finals that we expected to see. The owner should have let us know that they have it set up so only they know how to use it. You just can't plug in the cable from the camp and watch TV on one of 5 TV's. Take them out or don't advertise them as working. We paid more for cable and could not use it. When we got to Virginia Beach, we put out the awning and was not able to leave the next morning at 8 am to get up to Gettysburg PA for the tours. Again another issue the awning would not retract, the motor was bad and now we can't leave. Had to call the park RV maintenance man to come at 11:00 and work on it for an hour, only it was a 2 man job. So instead on me will my family at the pool or beach I was again helping the mechanic fix the Awning and all he could do was manually roll it up and secure it. No more awning for the trip. Needed to leave at 8:00am didn't get to leave until after 12:00pm. Was late getting to Gettysburg and missed the history tour. Disappointing to say the least. Did I mention the fact that the RV lists sleeps 8, but it really is 6, but the one bed in the rear berth was pulled from the owners house and an old mattress that if you sleep on your side your are laying on the flat wood base. My wife was miserable. Key not too, If you like your guests, make sure you bring extra mattresses because the blow up mattress they used was horrible too. It had a lump behind your shoulders when you slept. So the only people out of 6 of us that slept well was the two in the bunk beds. Again the owner said they never used the couch to sleep on. So they through an air mattress on it without checking it. Nobody had a good nights sleep with this RV. Another important item needed that was lacking was there was no sewer snake to help the flow of sewage at the sight. Every RV in the park had one. Not this one, they are $25 at Walmart. After loosing 2 half days to malfunctions at $225 day and missing 2 tours, one on the way down and the other on the way back, was very disappointed the owner did not reimburse for my loss of time, me locating and fixing the lock on the side of the road. My time working with the mechanic in Virginia beach. Owner made excuses and did nothing. If this is the kind of experience you want than this RV might be what your looking for. Good Luck
We had a great time in The Mason Rig! Very nice people and a pleasure to meet. Highly recommend their RV.
Great First RV Experience. Renting Mark's RV was the first time we have tried the RV lifestyle. We had a great experience and are grateful to Mark for all the advice that he gave us prior to our trip, the time he took to explain everything about the RV to us before we set off and his availability to ask questions (there weren't many) once we had set off on our way. The RV is well set up with pretty much everything we needed for our stay. My husband had no difficulties driving it but we did have a car as well which made day trips more convenient than trying to go everywhere in the RV. We would definitely recommend renting from Mark.
Mike and Wendy were terrific to rent from. Their RV is very nice and as first time RV'ers we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mike was available to answer any questions we had during the trip. Thanks!
