Spruce Bluff Preserve

According to the Port St. Lucie Historical Society, “the first organized non-Indian settlement was in Spruce Bluff”, and its earliest settlers were the Ais Indians. Spruce Bluff was founded in 1889 by John Enos Fultz, Jr., and was a thriving agricultural community until the “Big Freeze” killed all of its crops which resulted into its residents moving to other communities Today, Spruce Bluff is a great place to hike or bike with it numerous trails that will lead you to the grave of some of its earliest settlers, and Native American mounds. A monument identifies six of the seven Spruce Bluff residents buried there. The graves are the only evidence that this was once a thriving community. Aside from its historic significance, Space Bluff Preserve is a beautiful park where you can commune with nature.

It is a 35-acre golf facility, which features more than 100 Full-Swing Practice Stations, Pitching and chipping practice areas, Golf Fitness Evaluation for Maximum Performance, and World-Class Golf Fitness and Performance Center. You can also take a ‘Discover Golf Course’ a 3-hole Teaching Course if you have not touched a golf club before but are interested to learn. Tradition Field

The home of the New York Mets during their spring training, and is the home of the local baseball team, the St. Lucie Mets Class A team and the Gulf Coast Mets Rookie League team.
