Fort Lauderdale Florida Class A RV Rental Reviews
Large nice unit -- has new hardwood floors throughout. Drives well. Refrigerator was already cold when I picked up unit so was able to put perishables and drinks in right away, so was no need to pack a cooler. Owner very friendly and accommodating.
Horrible, do not rent. Serpentine belt was defective, broke on the trip we pay to replace it, ownwer charge 500 deposit addicional, beside he gave us the rv with out generator. He said insurance will be cover all my charges, but insurance says they only do towing and road assistance, also the day before i need it to pick up he called to let me know that generator was not working and he was not sure if it can be ready for the trip, so he rented the rv with out a/c, tv, etc since generator was not in the rv at the moment we pick ut up. He said we will not need ti. Five hours trip with out ac nor tv back and forth plus we need it to stay one addicional day since the mecanic that he sent and we paid for was not coming to fix it. Worst experience ever.
Absolutely the best experience we have had camping! Bill and Margaret made the pick up and drop off a breeze. They were very concerned with our comfort, making sure we were having a good time and were a phone call away whenever we needed them. I would highly recommend this RV, Bill & Margaret to anyone looking to have a great vacation!
***DO NOT RENT THIS RV!*** We had 2 tire blowouts in the course of two days. The RV owner, Janie, was negligent in renting her RV to us for a 2,000 mile trip with 14 YEAR OLD tires (proven by the date stamped on all the tires). The recommended life of RV tires is no more than 10 years pursuant to the DOT. We asked about the condition of the tires when we picked up the RV (they were visibly worn) but Janie dismissed us saying the "tires were fine." That was clearly not the case. We lost 3 hours each time for each blowout waiting for roadside assistance. Then Janie was finally convinced that the tires were bad, so she sent out Goodyear to our campground to have them replaced. We had to wait with the RV and wasted an entire day in the Smoky Mountains waiting for them to arrive. They arrived at 6pm. We were very lucky to walk away from this unharmed. We could have easily been involved in an accident and/or been injured as a result of Janie's negligence and improper maintenance of her RV. In addition, the RV is very OLD and looks it both on the inside and outside. It is run down and rides horribly, both before with the old tires as well as after with the new tires. We also did not have hot water for one week (yes, cold showers) since Janie couldn’t troubleshoot the problem. The button she said not to touch during the walk-thru was the button that needed to be reset in order for the propane to work. She finally realized that on the last night of our rental. We also couldn’t use the awning. During the walk-thru Janie and her husband had a hard time getting the awning to close so we didn’t even bother trying to open it. The tank gauges were also broken, the black tank appeared full all the time even though we were constantly emptying it. This rental was a complete nightmare from start to finish. This was our first family RV trip and it will certainly be the last. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and rent from someone else who maintains their RV properly. This RV should be put out of its misery. It's a piece of junk!
