Colorado Springs Colorado Class B RV Rental Reviews
The silver wave is a good Class B with a lot of utility and style, and Brian, the owner, made things very easy for us. This rental is an excellent value.
Renting the Silver Wave was one of the best decisions of my young life and I'm already dreaming up future trips so that I can rent it again. The entire adventure went off without a hitch from pick up to drop off and Brian was extremely responsive the entire time (despite being on his own vacation in Hawaii). The Wave (which we fondly renamed The Runaway Jim on the first day) handled the mountain roads OF CO and WY with ease and felt like we had a comfortable living room right in the parking lot of each ski mountain we decided to hit. We immediately got the respect of every RV or converted van enthusiast we came across as well. My best friend and I spent 7 extremely comfortable nights in this van with many pairs of skis, ski gear, etc. However, I could see it getting a little crowded if you are trying to fit 4 people in here unless you're talking one couple and two children or two couples who are comfortable cuddling with their significant other all night (two beds, but tight for 2 men to share each of them). All in all Brian was the best, The Silver Wave was the best, and I'm not even considering another vehicle if I'm ever road tripping out of Denver again.
It was such a fun RV trip! Very smooth pick-up/drop-off process. The RV ran as expected and was clean when we picked it up. It was great working with the owners! With that said we did have a few challenges: 1) The windshield had multiple massive cracks spanning the windshield. 2) The rear tires were completely worn out. If we had run into bad weather we would have been in trouble. Also this is a high risk for blowouts (luckily it didn't happen!) 3) The storage below the RV did not lock and one door was about to fall off so we had to tape it to the vehicle. None of these issues were disclosed before pickup after we already paid a ton of money. Overall, it was a great trip. We just wish there was a bit more disclosure of the major issues to the vehicle, especially the windshield and tires since these are hazards when driving a 28Ft RV.
Perfect Colorado / Utah camper van cruiser for two adults (sleeping), or four (if tent camping). Four seatbelts. V10 mountain-capable engine. Great running condition.
