What do you do for a living?

Medical Student

Why did you decide to start renting your RV with RVshare?

I am a medical student in Michigan and my family is in NJ. So, I have obligation to support my family as well as focus on my studying. Having been out of school for more than 2 decades gave me extreme pressure for my studying time. Working for a part time job to make money to support my family was not an option for me. I was lucky that I found rvshare.com, and I listed my motorhome which otherwise could have been sitting in the storage. From the first day of listing, I got a lot of inquiries and was able to rent out enough to make some money to send to my family. Besides, I met a lot of good people specially families with kids. They remind me of my kids at home. The memories that we went to family camping with the motorhome remains in the motorhome. When I take care of my motorhome, I always think about the family camping, and I always wish my customers will enjoy the same memorable camping experience with their family with my motorhome.

How long did it take for people to start inquiring on renting your RV?

From the first day of listing.

How many rentals have you booked so far?

Four.

What’s the total amount of money those rentals added up to?

$2,354.00.

What were you expecting singing up for RVshare?

When I think of my motorhome, it always reminds me of my family camping, and I would like to share the same great experience with my potential customers at the same time make some extra money by renting out the motorhome while it is not used. So far, the renting out exceeded my expectation.

What concerns did you have about renting your RV?

What would you say to someone else who’s considering renting their RV on RVshare?

Is there anything else you would like other RV owners to know?

The best part is the extra income and seeing the happy families, especially with kids! Some kids cry while they leave the motorhome. They really had a great time.

What are the biggest benefits of renting your RV?

If you own a motorhome, please share it with others so that your motorhome will do much better job than being parked in a storage. It can make some families happy and bond together while you will get some extra income.

Mostly I wanted to offset the cost of owning my RV so that I could keep it. I would highly recommend doing this. I have so enjoyed meeting the people who have rented my RV and feel as if they are now friends.

Initially I thought let's post and see what happens--after all it is free to create your listing. Then the requests started coming in and they have not stopped. I’ve already made $10,000 and counting.

I received inquiries within days of posting my listing, and this year I did close to $68,000 in bookings. The biggest benefits have been the cash-flow and meeting people from all over the Midwest.

I wanted to make money so that I could keep my RV, and I have. I made $12,200 in 2015 and $7,300 already in 2016! The biggest benefits are the money and the people I meet. Go ahead and try it! It's worked really well for me! I love it!

My trailer was not being used as frequently as I would have liked. So we considered selling, however with no bites except for the low-ball offers I was looking for an alternative to selling.
