Cane Creek State Park

is a vast public recreation area located in Lincoln County, Arkansas. It straddles the Gulf Coastal Plain and the Mississippi Delta, allowing guests to take in marvelous views as they explore the state park. The park contains 2,053 acres in total and includes the 1,675-acre Cane Creek Lake, which borders the massive Bayou Bartholomew. It has officially been a public park since 1973 when the Arkansas Game and Fishing Commission received federal funds and promised to build and maintain Cane Creek Lake inside the park. Some of the area’s many natural attractions include deep draws, rolling hills, and steep ridges. Gould and Grady are two Arkansas cities that you can reach from Cane Creek State Park.

How to Get to
Cane Creek State Park

People commonly travel to Cane Creek State Park from Little Rock, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. Begin the route from Little Rock by getting onto I-630 E. You will follow I-530 S toward AR-530 in Vaugine Township. Then, take Exit 44 from I-530 S. To complete the route, follow AR-530, AR-212 E, and State Highway 293/Cane Creek Road to Grasshopper Circle in Smith Township. 

Coming from the city of Memphis, you will first want to get onto I-40 W. Follow that road to AR-17 S in Brinkley Township and then take Highway 302 W to US-79 in Clarendon. After continuing along on US-79 to Star City, follow State Highway 293/Cane Creek Road to Grasshopper Circle in Smith Township.
