Fillmore is a small town in Ventura County, California. This town was founded in 1887 by Jerome A. Fillmore, a general superintendent of the Southern Pacific Railroad. Fillmore was incorporated in 1914 after the community business owners and Fillmore Herald voted in favor of the city's incorporation. As of 2022, Fillmore's population was estimated at 16,373. The town also has great historical significance. The Railroad Visitor Center, managed by the Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society, is a reminder of the town's railway roots. You can visit the Fillmore Historical Museum and view the Southern Pacific Railroad-related exhibits.
