We get 17 mpg towing it with our V6 Highlander. The optional hitch system comes with anti-sway and weight distribution bars. With this exceptional quality hitching system you will not even know you’re towing anything.
Everywhere you go people will want to look inside your camper! It’s just adorable and you will attract a lot of friendly stares as you drive down the road. At campgrounds friendly passersby will probably want to poke their heads in and take a look! It’s a great way to meet new friends! Bring your own christmas lights!
This little camper is perfect for camping in the mountains during leaf season or at Lake Lanier or at the beaches of 30A! The easy care vinyl floor can take the dirt and the sand :-) Put up the awning and pull up a camp chair next to the fire and read a book while you sip a glass of wine. Follow a long hike with a hot shower, a cup of coffee and a nap on the comfy bed. These are our favorite moments in the great outdoors. This little camper, with its hard shell and screened windows, is safe and comfortable. Cold AC and warm heat keep it comfy inside. Hot and cold running water, a flush toilet, and a hot shower make for a "glamping" experience.
The bed has a great deal of under bed storage for your clothing, shoes, camp chairs or anything else you need to bring along.
Setting up the camper is easy. The electric hitch Is a cinch. With the 12-volt battery, 39 gallon fresh water tank, propane heat, stove and fridge, LED lights, and water pump, you can boon-dock for several days off the grid. Bring your own solar panel for additional electricity. Zamp solar ready. Or, plug-in to a 30 amp power source and connect to a water supply for full use of the camper's amenities like AC and electric fridge. This camper has separate black and gray holding tanks which will last approximately a week without dumping but that does depend on your actual use. Inside gauges tell you what the status of your holding tanks are. Almost all campgrounds, public or private, have dumping facilities and sell propane.
Rainy day? Bring along your DVDs and watch movies or play cards and games. My wife and I love rainy days for this very reason. Nothing more soothing than hearing the rain tapping on the roof of the camper.
If you need specialized equipment like a 30 amp extension cord or specialized hitch attachments, please select them when you request your reservation. We have most anything you need to make your camping experience easier. When you pick up the camper we will help you hitch it up and give you a complete walk-through on all of the camper’s functions. We will show you how to hookup and dump. We will give you a safety checklist and loan you the "Taj Book" which should answer most of your questions while on the road.
The Taj Mahal can be towed with any vehicle with a towing capacity of 3600 pounds or more. Hitch receiver is 2-5/16". Your vehicle must be equipped with wiring to activate the trailer’s own brake system and lights—If your vehicle has a towing package installed then you’re all set. Let us know if you want us to pre-fill the fresh water tank (39 gal) for you. We require that you properly dump both black and grey tanks and top off the propane (if you use it) prior to return. We are flexible on drop off and pick up times with prior arrangements.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us. We are happy to help.
