A Class C camper is the perfect blend of both of those classes - larger than a campervan, but with some of the amenities of a Class A motorhome. RVshare also has 5th wheel trailers, teardrop campers, toy haulers, and a variety of campers and trailers to rent.

Also, when you’re planning your trip, it’s helpful to know that most owners offer lower nightly rates the longer you rent your RV. If you rent for a week, or a month, you may get a lower rate per day for your trip. You can see the discount by clicking on the vehicle you’re interested in and scrolling down to the price breakdown where it will give you weekly and monthly rates.

You can also search for an RV to rent using other indicators like size, type of vehicle, price, or even the year the camper was built. You can look for pet-friendly motorhomes, or for motorhomes to take one-way or round-trip.

Explore Lake Alfred, FL

Lake Alfred is a small city in Polk County, Florida with a population of approximately 2,900 people. The town was incorporated in 1911 and has a rich history that stretches back to the 1800s. It is home to the Mackay Botanical Gardens & Lakeside Preserve, which offers visitors the opportunity to explore more than 400 acres of gardens, trails, lakes and preserves. Visiting Lake Alfred with an RV from RVshare is a wonderful way to explore the area! Lake Alfred is a tiny, unincorporated town that lies at the crossroads of two major highways: U.S. Highways 17-92 and 301. The Chain of Lakes Trail offers 30 miles worth of paved, multi-use trails for cyclists, joggers and pedestrians. It is a route that winds through several of Lake Alfred’s lakes. The area was first settled by Thomas McCloud in 1870 when he built a sawmill on Lake Rochelle. The mill's power came from a waterfall that emptied into the lake. McCloud named his town "Lakemont". A post office opened in Lakemont in 1887. The name was changed to Lake Alfred in 1899 because there was already another Lakemont post office in Florida. A railroad line came through the town in 1907 and helped it grow as a citrus growing centre. In 1911 it became the county seat of the newly created Polk County. Lake Alfred is home to Lake Rochelle, a 55-acre lake that is a popular recreation destination for boating, fishing and swimming. The lake has two public access areas – one at the north end of the lake and one at the south end – and each has a boat ramp. There are also hiking trails in the area.
