The New Hampshire Motor Speedway is an oval racetrack located in Loudon, New Hampshire that has hosted NASCAR events since the early 1990s, as well as IndyCar and the oldest motorcycle race in North America, The Loudon Classic. The track was initially known as the Bryar Motorsports Park before being purchased and renovated and it is one of eight major NASCAR tracks owned and operated by Speedway Motorsports. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is the premier location for major professional racing in the state of New Hampshire, offering fans a rare opportunity to watch a professional sporting event within the state borders. Since its inception the speedway has constantly evolved to make the race experience for fans better each and every year. There is so much for fans to do while here other than watching the very long race from start to finish.
We’ve made a brief list of some things you can do at NHMS and places you can park your RV at when the races are over. We hope you enjoy!
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is often considered the Martinsville of the North, and that is definitely a compliment considering how much fun the tailgating is there. Tailgating here can also be an absolute blast, you just have to keep in mind a couple of rules that are a little different than normal. The good news is that NHMS has over 400 acres of free parking for cars and RVs for tailgating. If you come in an RV, everyone must already have their tickets ready. The bad news is that tent camping is largely considered bad here. The grounds are small and the terrain is rocky and uncomfortable, AND there are no tents allowed on the NHMS property. Some of the things you might want to bring for tailgating include: a grill, food and drinks, a cooler and ice, charcoal or gas, lighters and matches, a fire extinguisher, sunscreen, a local map, napkins and paper towels, utensils and plates, a radio/mp3/cd player, garbage bags, trash cans, an umbrella, a first aid kit, extra water, chairs, and anything else that you might think of. We hope that you have a great time!
New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s MegaTicket is often referred to as “One of the best bargains in professional sports.” The MegaTicket includes reserved seating in the MegaZones, located in special sections of the Concord and Laconia Grandstands, for several events. The MegaTicket has value of $150 if purchased separately, but you can get the three-day ticket package that adds up to 775 laps of racing, for just $99 or 12 cents a lap. The MegaTicket combined with the free parking and the policy of allowing fans to bring in their own food and drinks, makes New Hampshire Motor Speedway one of the most, if not the most affordable racetrack in the entire country. Come here and have a fantastic time without emptying your bank account!
