It all started great. From the booking to going to pick up the RV. The trip was going great, until we had to drive back. On our way back, the dually tires exploded while driving through the desert. I inspected the tires and found that the thread had been low the whole time. I contacted the owner to notify him about the situation. One, he didn't really know what the process was to get roadside assistance. Two, he lied and said they were brand new tires (If that were true, we wouldn't had been in this predicament). Roadside assistance was a joke and they couldn't get anyone out there. First they are located in Canada, so they had no idea how to get a hold of someone locally. Second, they were on a limited "budget", so they didn't want to pay no more than $1000.00. Mind you we had children and ran out of water. After 3 hours they still couldn't get anyone out. For our safety, I shopped around for someone to come out. I ended up paying for a guy to come out and replace the tires. If we would have had more than one spare and the tires wouldn't have had low thread, we wouldn't have been in danger. I took the owners advice to use the existing spare tire, but later he charged me for it. In addition, once we returned the RV the owner tacked on additional charges that wouldn't have been inquired if the tires would have been in good shape. For example, we had to use the generator additional hours for the sake of the high temperature in the desert. In fact, this scenario not only endangered our lives, but the lives of our kids. We had the State Trooper come out and provide us with water. Not only is he trying to take my deposit, but asking for additional charges. If I would have known this, I think I would have taken my business elsewhere.
the rv left with 4/4 of gasoline and returned almost empty. 250$ has been spent just to refill gasoline. propane’s tank was empty too. you did 1200 extra miles.at return the rv was dirty and smelled ugly.we found an e-cigarette.a deep cleaning has been necessary to restore the rv at the original condition. before your departure i gave you several advices including checking tires often and to be aware to not run out of water/gas. i believe that following my advices nothing would have happened.
