My family spent 11 nights with this RV travelling around 3 national parks (great sand dunes, black canyon and rocky) in June 2017. It was the only vehicle we drove. It was absolutely fantastic experience. We have 2 adults and 3 young children (9, 8 and 5 years old). The RV is the right size for my family's needs.
The RV has everything we need. Enough space for 5 people to live. The fridge is small, but enough to hold a few days of supply for the family. There is a queen bed, a bunk bed and a sofa/airbed. They are adequate for a family of 5 with privacy. Living space is tight, but kids like to play on the bed. It is not a big deal for me. Actually, a smaller size is a good thing to drive on the mountains. We even drove on the Trail Ridge road (the highest continuously paved road in US) in Rocky mountain national park without any difficulty. On that road, it is hard to see another RV. Travelling with children, you have to stop more often for restroom, food and drink. Because its size, we could easily park it almost anywhere we like for an easy break without getting off from the RV.
More importantly, the RV has a very powerful and efficient diesel engine. It is powerful enough to climb any mountain in Colorado. On the highway, you can easily drive at 80 MPH and still be able to accelerate. Brake works great too. Overall, I believe the driving is a little bit harder than my Honda minivan, but not much harder. Due to its height, you may feel the wiggle when road is bumpy. But that that is universal for all RVs.
I also like its fuel efficiency. From Estes Park to Woodland Park, I drove around 157 miles (according to Google map) using only around 10.5 gallon diesel. I didn't try to save fuel during the whole time. I could use much less fuel, but I was rushing to get my daughter's prescription in Woodland Park.
Ryan provides everything you may need, including everything you need in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. It turned out that we brought 30-40% of our staff were useless, since everything is included already. Additionally, Ryan is very nice guy. You will like him on the first impression. He is always responsive for any question. My return experience was very simple. Ryan was not picky on anything.
Overall, I feel this RV is super convenient for a family vacation. We may come back with Ryan's RV again in the future.
