Walt was a great pleasure to work with. He was very informative and easy to communicate with. I will certainly rent this Airstream from him again.
Nice trailer. Walt is a good guy and tries hard to make things right. Disappointed that the potable water tank ran out on the 3rd day and the gray-water tank filled up on the second day. We were in boating for over 16 years and never had a problem running out of water or filling-up the waste tank. We know to conserve water. Apparently the gray-water tank was nearly full when we got to the campground . We noticed a leak below the drain plumbing that was not there after we emptied the gray-water tank. We probably should have checked the tank levels before we headed up to the campground. All the other trailer features worked properly.
Loved the Airstream, it was the perfect addition to our camping trip and just the right size for the three of us :) Had good communication with Walt throughout the trip for any questions we had and was willing to work with us on pick up and drop off time.
This was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had traveling. Walt was great helping me get started. I was on a 2-week so a couple times I had questions for him and he responded right away. The trailer was very clean and was perfect for the trip I was on. So many people loved it and it left me wanting to get one of my own! I was sad to drop her off and go home :(
We had an amazing time traveling with this trailer. It was easy to tow, the perfect size for the two of us and had everything we needed for a five day trip to Arizona for a stay at Hidden Shores RV Resort. Walt explained everything about the trailer and its operation and the trailer was clean and ready to go when we picked it up. Walt communicated with us and answered any questions we had and we wouldn't hesitate to rent from him again. Altogether a 5 Star experience.
Walt was very responsive and had all his bases covered. I would rent from him again.
Walt is a nice very guy and good communicator. I really valued his flexibility especially in orchestrating the pick up in the busy LA traffic. As for the trailer it's well designed and in excellent condition. I truly truly enjoyed having it as my home base for a week of "dry" camping (used no hook-ups).
I will definitely rent this gem from Walt again!
My husband and I had nothing but a great experience with the Airstream. Any questions that we had about the operations of the Bambi, Walt was always very responsive. This was our first time renting an RV/trailer so Walt gave us a very thorough all orientation from hitching the Bambi to the truck to how to turn on the stove. Everything inside the Bambi looks practically new and it came with complimentary coffee, tea, water and some soft drinks. It even had plates, cutlery, utensils and cleaning supplies! Although it may look small from the outside, it was perfect from the inside. I had no trouble cooking a quick meal and my husband had no problem operating the rest of the stuff (gas, water, electricity, etc). My husband also mentioned a few times that the Bambi was very easy to maneuver around. One more thing, the Bambi was a show stopper because it is rare to see an awesome, funky, groovy looking RV/trailer like this one.
Thank you Walt for your patience with us and rest assure that we will be seeing each other again in the near future. Your Bambi is and will continue to be part of our family memories.
so i rented this trailer for 3 days earlier this month. my family and I (2 adults 2 small kids, 3 years & 3 months) took it up to Carpenteria for a lil beach get-a-way with some other friends who took their trailers. this was my first time camping in a trailer and the whole experience was great and renting from Walt had a huge part in making it great.
You see, i live just west of Lancaster, which is about 2 hours from Walt. i wanted to leave to Carpenteria as soon as possible but that meant i had to pick up the trailer as soon as possible. Walt was very accommodating and moved things around in his schedule to allow me to pick it up as early as possible. Meeting him in person i found him to be very nice. Viewing the Airstream in person, I found it to be in excellent condition! I was actually amazed to see that the pictures i seen on the internet matched what I saw in person! Walt went through the trailer with me very patiently and explained how everything worked. Like i said earlier, it was my first time trailer camping which meant it was my first time hooking up/towing this kind of trailer. I dont know how it is to hook up to other trailers, but this one was super easy!! Towing it was the same. Getting to the campsite and detaching/ leveling the trailer was also easy. This part took me about 10 minutes from start to finish. We had water and power hookups at the site and was pleased to find that everything including the air conditioner worked, but really impressed with how great the two fans worked. I was disappointed however to find out that the water hose to hook up to the campsites water was too short which meant we couldnt hook up to the sites water. (talking to Walt after the trip, sounds like he will fix that for the next renter). It wasnt a big deal though as we used the 20 gallon on board water tank. For two adults and small kids, this trailer was perfectly spacious. When it came time to return the trailer, Walt was once again extremely accommodating with the return time and once again rearranged his schedule to allow me to bring it back at a time that worked best for me. To summarize the rental experience, it felt like i was borrowing a trailer from a friend.
(a side note regarding this trailer: there is no on board or generator included in this rental so if you wont be able to hook up to a campsite's power you wont be able to use the ac. it wasnt an issue for us but a lil fyi).
Walt is a really nice guy, he takes his time to explain everything. We picked up the Bambi ready to go, clean with water already filled up and tire pressure checked. The all in all impression of the Bambi is, it looks basically like new, it^s a really nice camper with a really high fun factor. We can just recommend Bambi and Walt, we will come back for our next trip.
