Let me start by saying the RV drove well throughout the holiday and did not let us down once, good drive and good engine with great view out of the cockpit panoramic window. This RV must have been a beauty when new when Tim first purchased it and the family must have had some fantastic holidays in it as the Dolphin was top of its class in 2003. Now forward to 2017. Sadly its best days are behind it with the internal side is now looking very worn with badly stained carpets, TV not working, Bedding quilts smelt damp and immediately needed to be washed. The kitchen slide out failed on the third day and it turned out the bar underneath had come off, although less room in that area, we managed ok. There was poor communication on pick up as we went to the owners house as expected with nobody there. It turned out the RV was parked at Tim's workplace but he forgot to communicate this by email. This was remedied by a phone call and a couple of hours later we were on our way although a couple of hours behind schedule. Tim apologised for mix up which was an error on his part which was accepted. On arrival the RV had side and front damage from previous renters and the awning was broken. I understand he may have had no time to get this rectified with the damage occurring the previous month. We did not use the washer/dryer as there was a young lady Tim's daughter who was there on pick up and she stated it did not work properly although Tim disputed this when we dropped it off. Shame as it would have been quite useful but we will never know. The RV had not been washed on the outside with the front was covered in insect spatter which was disappointing. I felt the hand over was quite rushed as Tim had business appointments although we figured things out along the way so no problem there. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and didn't let anything spoil our experience in this beautiful country. I guess we may have been the unlucky ones being the last renters of the season in September. Although as paying renters we still expected cleanliness regardless of this. I wish Tim well in his personal business and appreciate he is a busy man, but I feel more time needs to be dedicated towards keeping the RV in good shape (TLC) and adequate time for its renters on handover as per the RV Share document library. Overall, the RV did not fully meet my expectations but by the same token we kind of got used to it and had a great time.
